'RHOD' Star Kameron Westcott Talks LeeAnne Locken Friendship

Kameron Westcott opened up about her current relationship with LeeAnne Locken during an interview with Zack Peter on his podcast last Wednesday, January 13.

Nearly one year after LeeAnne announced that she would not be a part of the fifth season of "The Real Housewives of Dallas," Kameron said that she and LeeAnne are still friendly, despite the fact that they are no longer filming together for the Bravo reality show.

“Yeah, we’re in a great place — really, really great place," Kameron said on "#NoFilter With Zack Peter."

LeeAnne revealed she would not be featured on "The Real Housewives of Dallas" season five in February of last year after facing allegations of racism due to a series of comments made to her ex-cast mate, Kary Brittingham.

As fans of the series well know, LeeAnne took aim at Kary on a number of occasions throughout season four and during one specific moment, she was seen slamming Kary as a "chirpy Mexican." 

LeeAnne also spoke of Kary's heritage during other scenes of the show and some believed she did so in a disparaging manner.

Although Kameron has a deep history with LeeAnne, that didn't stop her from being vocal about her disappointment with her behavior during the series' fourth season and at the reunion. 

"After the reunion, you know, she was, you know, upset with me. At the same time though, like, I’m always going to be honest and open to her about my opinion. And I didn’t agree with what happened last year with her," Kameron shared. 

"Absolutely not. And she knows that," Kameron added.

According to Kameron, she believes that LeeAnne has learned from the mistakes she made during "The Real Housewives of Dallas" and because of that, the two of them have been able to not only work through the issues they had due to LeeAnne's comments to and about Kary, but also to get to a better place within their friendship. 

"And she fully accepted that and learned from it and we’re in an amazing place because we’re true girlfriends. And I will share those memories with her," Kameron stated. 

Despite their ups and downs, Kameron said that she is happy to report that she and LeeAnne are currently on good terms.

"It’s exciting that we’re still friends," she explained.

Following LeeAnne's exit from the show last year, Kameron and the rest of the cast were joined by series newbie Tiffany Moon, a doctor working out of Dallas.
