Cynthia Bailey faced backlash last October of last year when she and her now-husband, Mike Hill, got married in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, according to the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member, she and her husband took plenty of precautions when saying, "I do."
"We did everything on our end to ensure everyone’s safety from masks, shields, temperature checks, I had a COVID specialist come in and spray the place," Cynthia shared during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" earlier this month.
Cynthia Bailey Explains Why Many Were Seen Maskless At The Event
During her conversation with Andy Cohen on his late-night talk show, Cynthia said that when it came to the many mask-free photos that were shared online of her wedding, they weren't as bad as they seemed.
"What happened was, the only time people were allowed to take their masks off was to eat or drink. So, it’s a wedding so that happened. And then a lot of people actually wanted to take pictures with their mask off because you know when you take a picture, you’re like, ‘Oh, can I take the mask off?’ So I wasn’t even thinking, ’Now all the pictures are going to have the masks off,’" she recalled.
No One Caught COVID-19 At Cynthia Bailey's Wedding
After explaining why there were a lot of mask-free photos taken at her and Mike's wedding, Cynthia was asked whether or not anyone had come down with COVID-19 after attending their wedding.
"No. Thank you Jesus. No one tested positive as a result of being at our wedding,” she confirmed.
During another moment of the show, Cynthia was asked to weigh on the style choices of a number of her "Real Housewives" counterparts, including Gizelle Bryant, of "The Real Housewives of Potomac."
Cynthia Bailey Knows Gizelle Bryant Can Do Better With Her Style
When Cynthia was asked to comment on the metallic hat and sneakers Gizelle had worn during a cast trip to Portugal, Cynthia first played it cool, saying, “She really mixed it up!”
Then, when asked about Gizelle's style as a whole, Cynthia admitted she wasn't impressed.
“Let’s just say Gizelle is not the only housewife in any of the franchises that don’t have great style," Cynthia admitted. "Now however, Gizelle, I feel like it should be a little easier for her because she’s such a beautiful woman. So I would just say less is more because she’s so stunning already," she stated.
Cynthia Bailey Doesn't Think Kenya Moore Would Have Started Any Drama At Porsha Williams' Party
Also during the show, Cynthia was asked if she felt Kenya Moore would have behaved had she been included in the party thrown to honor Porsha Williams and her efforts to promote equality.
"I 100 percent feel like she would have behaved herself," Cynthia confirmed. "It just was not the time or the place for any nonsense. It was no way that she could do anything but be respectful, like we all were. There was a lot of opportunities that night to throw shade but everybody kept the shade to a minimum because it just wasn’t the time or the place.”
To see more of Cynthia and her cast mates, don't miss new episodes of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 13 on Sunday nights at 8/7c on Bravo.
