Mama June, born June Edith Shannon, is walking down the aisle a second time with her partner Justin Stroud and doing things right this time.
The beautiful ceremony was certainly a dream come true for the lovebirds while marking a major reunion for the Shannons as her daughters — Alana, Lauryn, Anna, and Jessica — were all present, given their shocking absence from the first wedding.
Mama June Marries A Second Time, Marking Family's Reunion In Years
Saturday, February 18, was a blessed day for the Shannons, particularly June, as she celebrated her love with Stroud an oceanfront ceremony in Panama City, Florida.
It was a private ceremony including only family and close friends, but those who were not present will get to see highlights in the upcoming season of "Mama June: Family Crisis." The show is set to debut on May 5 on WE tv and will show the couple tying the knot once more at the SpringHill Suites with the entire Shannon clan present.
Alongside the reality star's daughters, her grandchildren Stella, Stylus, and Bentley joined in the ceremony, which was also the first family reunion in nearly a decade. June told ET about the importance of the second nuptials, saying,
"This was the first time the family had all been together since 2014, so it was really special to get married in a place where my family and I have had so many memories."
Looking as exquisite as imaginable, the blushing bride donned a wedding gown from David's Bridal while her groom was dashing in a tux from E&S Formal in Montgomery, Alabama, which he spiced up with a pair of Jordans.
According to Mama June, the couple wanted a "small and very intimate" ceremony, so they did not include any groomsmen or bridesmaids. "All four of my girls walked me down to Justin, and his mom walked him down the aisle," she added.
The wedding cake was taken care of by Cakes by Ricca in Panama City Beach and included six different flavors. In addition, the married duo's first dance song was "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran.
While the event was not their first time at the altar together, they sure looked like newlyweds. The twosome first married secretly on March 23, 2022, at a Georgia courthouse in Wilkinson County.
However, The Blast reported that the news broke out in June, stunning fans and her four daughters who were not involved in the plans. Alana "Honey Boo Boo" and Lauryn "Pumpkin" dished their thoughts about the affair with the older sibling, revealing that she initially suspected, but their mother denied it. Pumpkin said:
"I actually got a receipt in my PO Box that said she had applied for a marriage certificate. Then I asked her about it just recently. She denied it. And then eventually she was like, 'Oh, I got married,' and we were very, very shocked."
Similarly, Honey Boo Boo never believed their mum would marry again, given the distressing end of her relationship with her ex-husband Mike' Sugar Bear' Thompson. Nevertheless, she noted that the WE tv star had changed, after which she and Pumpkin expressed how they felt about being excluded from the wedding.
The elder sister said, "If she feels like we don't need to be a part of that, then it is what it is." Still, the siblings failed to voice their thoughts about the new addition to the family.
The 'From Not To Hot' Star Married Stroud Less Than A Year After Getting Involved
After not up to a year of getting acquainted, Mama June and Stroud were labeled a couple on October 21, given their joint visit to a tattoo parlor to get new ink. As reported, she introduced the 34-year-old to her social media fans as "new boo" but chose not to mention his name at the time.
Meanwhile, in the same month of their eventual marriage, the pair were spotted shopping for rings in Alabama, prompting engagement rumors which the August-born star denied. Prior to the romance, June was involved with Geno Doak, and their chaotic relationship was overcome with substance addiction, a couple of apprehensions, and rehab.
They became an item in 2015, and Doak was featured in "Mama June: From Not to Hot" in 2017. In 2020, they attended rehab together, and the following year, they split, ending their nearly six-year relationship.
