Gymnast Nastia Liukin Takes A Morning Dip In Her Red Swimsuit

Gymnast Nastia Liukin is sharing her morning routine with her followers!

Although most of the country is still trying to survive the freezing cold winter temperatures, the Russian-born American former artistic gymnast took to Instagram to share footage of her morning swim and typical morning workout routine.

In her latest Instagram post on Friday afternoon, the five-time Olympic medalist shared a video set to the tune of Lizzo’s hit song “Special,” featuring SZA. Nastia begins the video by tying back her hair and stretching before she walks down the steps and into the water, submerging herself completely before she comes back up, wiping the water out of her face with both hands.

After she gets out of the water, she runs toward the grass, where she has suddenly tried off and changed into a black sports bra and matching leggings along with white sneakers and white crew socks. Nastia works her legs with a few glute band exercises as she lies down on a black yoga mat in the green grass. After doing a few different leg extensions with the glute bands, also known as “booty bands” to some, Nastia collapses down in the grass, exhausted, as she shuts her eyes.

As the video ends, Nastia shares a shot of her wearing high-waisted ripped bell-bottom jeans. She is buttoning her pink blouse with bedazzled sleeves, with only one side tucked into her jeans. She winks at the camera and pops one leg to show off her matching pink heels. Throughout the video, Nastia’s blonde hair remained tied back in her signature blonde bun.

In the caption, Nastia wrote, “*most* mornings look something like this. First things first, cold plunge (this time of year we just use the pool because it’s cold af and gets the job done!) followed by a (FaceTime) workout with @kirastokesfit a few times a week and then a quick shower + breakfast & go time.”

Kira Stokes was one of the first to comment on her post, writing, “Oh how I LOVE being a part of your mornings – especially when you offer me this dreamy view via FT.” Other fans loved the view as well, with one follower commenting, “The color of that swimsuit is gorgeous on you!”

“Love the outfit at the end. I tried to explain to my husband that half tucked in is the style now and he is just bewildered by it,” another fan chimed in. “Ok. That may be the sexiest thing I have ever seen!!” another follower gushed. “Motivation to self-improve is the sexiest,” another fan agreed. “You’re so cute. Jealous of the pool,” another follower shared.

At least one fan had an issue with the song choice, with sparked a fierce debate in the comments. “I love the hypocrisy of the song given that she conveniently forgets she’s a role model for pre-teens and young girls if it means she can make a dollar,” one user commented.

“Where on earth does it say she has to be a role model? She’s a grown a** adult. She can’t listen to music with cussing because YOU can’t be a better parent?” another user shot back. “She didn't ask to be a role model she wanted to be an Olympic Gymnast. Being a role model also means being authentic,” another fan pointed out.

Fortunately, most of the comments on her post with respectful, although there were a few followers who were asking about her diet and exercise routine and whether or not she has lost more weight than usual lately.

Over the past few weeks, the 5'3" athlete has been sharing more and more fashion videos with her followers but was forced to disable comments on many of her recent videos due to inappropriate comments about her body.

In addition to users asking to buy her a meal, other followers speculated that she was suffering from an eating disorder, which is a pretty serious accusation to make on social media.
