Gymnast Nastia Liukin Gives Barbie Vibes In Hot Pink Pickleball Outfit
In her latest Instagram post, the 33-year-old athlete gave fans a 10-second clip that featured her getting dressed for her pickleball date. She is wearing a bright pink long-sleeve crop top with a matching pink hat and baseball cap. She accessorized her look with white crew socks and sneakers.
In the caption, Nastia wrote “pickleball date” as fans gushed over her video. “Nastia invented the color pink. Period,” one fan commented. “So cute!!” another follower chimed in. “The hottest pickleball outfit I’ve ever seen,” a third fan gushed.

No One Is Commenting On Nastia’s Body In This Instagram Post!
It looks like the 2005 world champion on the balance beam decided to moderate her Instagram comment section, because there were zero negative comments about her body to be found in the comments section of her latest posts.
For reference, at the start of the month, Nastia shared a ten-second video clip on Instagram that featured her getting dressed in a cropped sweater and patchwork skirt. Nastia captioned the video, “A wholesome Sunday little fit, all @zara.”

Many of her followers started criticizing the 5’3″ athlete and felt that she was “too thin” and “too skinny.” Some followers even suggested that she might be suffering from an eating disorder, which is a pretty serious accusation to make, even on social media.
The unwanted comments about her body led to her disabling comments on many of her recent Instagram posts, especially the ones where she shows short videos that feature her getting dressed. It looks like Nastia has stopped disabling the comment and is most likely deleting any accusations that she is struggling with her weight… or getting someone to do it for her.
Are Fans Expressing Concern For Nastia’s Body… Or Just Passing Judgment?
Throughout her several posts, many of her followers expressed critical comments about her appearance. One user told Nastia that she is “not promoting a healthy body image for gymnasts or people in general. You’re getting skinnier and skinnier.”
Another follower agreed, writing, “I thought so too. Always been thin, her natural state. But getting skinnier is alarming.” Some of the comments were flat-out rude, with some followers asking her if they could buy her a meal and others offering to buy her a cheeseburger and fries.

Fortunately, there were several fans that stood up for Nastia. Aside from comments praising her outfits, there were also comments that showed their support and told critics who had nothing nice to say about her body to keep it to themselves.
“These comments have me absolutely irate right now. 20lbs heavier and y’all are calling her fat… now she’s too thin. She can’t win, can she? How about you worry about your own bodies and stop criticizing hers, considering you haven’t lived a day in her shoes… or even know her personally, for that matter! Call it what it is. You’re not ‘expressing concerns…’ you’re passing judgments,” one fan commented.

“Let her family and close friends express their concerns if they feel there is a reason to be concerned and keep your judgments to yourself,” they continued. “Nastia, I hope the good comments stand out more than these rude ones because you look fabulous in this outfit! Just like all the other looks you post! Love it!”
