Singer Billie Eilish was subject to a prank call that led to cops swarming her home in Los Angeles to perform a welfare check.
Last month, the same thing happened to Britney Spears, 41, after she deactivated her Instagram account. The "Hold Me Closer" singer returned to Instagram a week later, but not before asking fans to respect her privacy.
Although the 21-year-old singer's Instagram account is still active, she has removed her profile picture, which might have sparked concern from some fans.
Cops Performed A Welfare Check On Billie Eilish After A Prank Call
Law enforcement officials reportedly stormed the Los Angeles home belonging to Billie Eilish after they received a false tip from a prankster that the “Ocean Eyes” singer was in distress, according to TMZ.
On Wednesday afternoon, several squad cars and officers from the Glendale Police Department arrived at her home after they received a call to perform a welfare check on the singer. When police arrived, they reportedly met with a member of the singer’s team who assured them that everything was fine.
Although things were fortunately okay for Billie this time around, the Los Angeles native has trouble in the area before. Just last month, the “Happier Than Ever” singer took out a restraining order against an alleged stalker who broke into her family home.

Just last month, a man named Christopher Anderson allegedly broke into her family home to proclaim his love for the singer. In court documents obtained by The Blast, the “when the party’s over” singer sought protection not only for herself but for her brother Finneas and her parents as well.
“My father and members of the Los Angeles Police Department recently informed me that an individual who goes by the name Christopher A. Anderson or Chris Anderson recently entered the interior of my family’s home on January 5, 2023, unannounced and uninvited, after apparently professing his love for me and expressing that he really wanted to meet me,” Billie wrote in the court filing. “I have viewed images of this individual and can confirm I have no idea who he is and that I have had no prior relationship or communication with him.”
Billie claims that she has suffered emotional harm from the incident, as well as “Emotional injury including for my safety, fear for the safety of my family, ongoing loss of peace, tranquility, and security in my childhood home and personal space resulting from the repeated instances of harassment by Mr. Anderson.”
Despite 24-hour surveillance around the property, the “Everything I Wanted” singer claims she does “not feel safe” returning to her childhood home due to the incident. “Regrettably, this is not the first time an unknown individual has attempted to contact my family and me specifically by stalking us outside my family’s home and by making professions of love to and threats of violence against me,” she wrote. “However, each such occasion, including the present one, causes me substantial anxiety, fear, and emotional distress over my personal safety and that of my father, mother, and brother.”
“I worry that someday one of these individuals will do something violent or extremely disturbing to me or one of my family members,” she continued. “Notwithstanding the 24-hour security surveillance and security team employed by my family, I do not feel safe returning to my childhood home, visiting with my parents in their home, or being anywhere near this individual named Christopher Anderson.”
This isn’t the only time that Billie has allegedly heard from Anderson. She claims that he tried to contact her multiple times between December 22, 2022, and January 5, 2023. Billie’s father claimed that on December 29, 2022, at around 7:35 AM, “Mr. Anderson approached our gate and left what appeared to be a present for one of our family members in the form of a white flower and a handwritten note. Approximately an hour later police officers arrived at our family residence. I am informed that the police department subsequently filed another report documenting the latest incident.”
“Among other things, the note left by Mr. Anderson professed his love for my daughter Billie, claimed that at some point in time Billie had been watching Mr. Anderson and writing songs about Mr. Anderson, and that Mr. Anderson really wanted to meet Billie,” he added.
Billie’s father said that he spotted Anderson around the property on several occasions. In the legal documents, he claims that the last incident was on January 5, 2023, when he says “Mr. Anderson was arrested after breaking and entering our home and on suspicion of burglary.”
Billie Eilish asked the court to prevent Anderson from having any contact with her and her family members. This includes social media.
