"Ted Lasso" will return for its third season next month. Apple TV dropped a teaser trailer for the upcoming season, at least revealing the debut date of Season 3. The Emmy Award-winning show will see its third season debut on March 15 on the streaming service.

You can check out the official teaser for Season 3 below. The video features the cast riffing on Ted's "Believe" sign, with the other characters each making one of their own.

'Ted Lasso' Season 3 Set For March Debut

In Season 3, Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) and the newly-promoted AFC Richmond are up against media ridicule as they are pegged for last in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Nate (Nick Mohammed), after being hailed as the "wonder kid," has decided to work for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United.

With Nate gone, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) steps up as the assistant coach, alongside Beard (Brendan Hunt). ed also has to deal with work pressure, as he struggles with his personal issues back home. Also, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is laser-focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley (Juno Temple) as she navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. With things falling apart on all sides, the team still looks to give it their best shot.

The original Apple comedy series has been a big success for the streamer, acquiring a great deal of award prestige. The show picked up four Primetime Emmy Awards last year, including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Sudeikis, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Goldstein, and Outstanding Director Directing for a Comedy Series for M.J. Delaney. The show won seven Emmy Awards in the year prior as well. Sudeikis also picked up Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe Awards for his performance in the series last year. The series also picked up the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in 2022.

The show first debuted in August 2020 on Apple TV, and Season 2 of "Ted Lasso" concluded in October 2021, so fans have been waiting over a year for the new season. As previously reported by The Blast, there were some delays in production for Season 3.

Speaking to TV Line, series co-creator Hunt (who also portrays Coach Beard in the show) revealed that the scripts were done and ready to go, but the delays were caused by when the show's production would be able to shoot some football scenes. As a result, Season 3 had to start later than Season 2, causing the delay in the launch.

Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly, and Hunt developed the series based on a character Sudeikis portrayed in a series of NBC Sports Premiere League promotional spots. They also serve as executive producers for the series, with Lawrence serving as the showrunner. The show is a Warner Bros. Television and Universal Television co-production.

The good news is that fans now have an official debut date, and the wait will not be much longer. "Ted Lasso" Season 3 will consist of 12 episodes. New episodes will drop weekly on Apple TV+ starting March 15.
