Seacrest announced his exit from “Live With Kelly & Ryan” on Thursday, after sitting alongside his co-host Kelly Ripa at the table for six years.

The “American Idol” host and iHeart Radio fixture revealed he would no longer be appearing on the show beginning next spring in a poignant Instagram post.

“Live With Kelly & Ryan” will not be ending amid Seacrest’s exit. The morning talk show will receive new life with a rebrand. Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, will be taking a seat in Seacrest’s chair next to his wife.

Consuelos was on hand to commemorate the exit of his wife’s ‘work-husband’ on Instagram earlier on Thursday as well!

What Did Seacrest Have To Say About His ‘Live With Kelly & Ryan’ Exit?

Posting an Instagram carousel containing snapshots from his time on the morning show, Seacrest, 48, paid tribute to the “Live With Kelly & Ryan” era of his career.

“I’m going to miss my work wife and all the laugher we share. When I signed on to host ‘Live’ in 2017 it was meant to be for 3 years, but I loved the job and working with Kelly so much that I extended my time and last year I made the decision to stay for one more final season,” Seacrest began his post.

“I’ve been grateful to share a cup of coffee with our viewers everyday, one of the best parts of the gig,” he continued.

“I’m looking forward to coming back to guest host in the future and Kelly, I promise to share my food photos, chicken eggs, and olive oil with you. And congratulations to my brother, Mark, feel free to remodel my dressing room,” he jokingly concluded.

Seacrest’s ‘brother’ would commemorate his friend’s exit with an Instagram post of his own!

The new host-to-be of “Live With Kelly & Mark,”- the show will be revamped to commemorate Consuelos’ new position-, posted a snapshot of the trio dressed as “I Love Lucy” characters!

“Congrats on your next chapter @ryanseacrest. I love you like a brother. I know I have some big shoes to fill… well actually they’re only a size 9, but you know what I mean. @kellyripa my ride or die. This is going to be amazing! I can’t believe after all these years of listening to you talk for free, I found a way to get paid for it. Is this a great country or what?” Consuelous joked, including a heart emoji.

As of this writing, the air date for Consuelos’ first episode as co-host for “Live With Kelly & Mark” is unknown.
