Megan Thee Stallion is one of the hottest artists in the music industry today but her come up on the road to success was also impressive. She had a solid EP in 2017 with "Make It Hot" and around that time, she actually auditioned to be on VH1's hit series, "Love And Hip-Hop." 

The network revealed on Monday night the audition footage of Megan and she definitely brought the energy. Many fans wondered why VH1 didn't bring her on board to the show.

VH1 Showed This Footage For Their 'Love And Hip-Hop: Secrets Unlocked' Series

VH1 has been releasing throwback footage of cast members and apparently people who tried to join the show as well lately. Megan is the latest and here, she also claimed that she was the best female rapper that was coming up.

"It's Megan Thee Stallion AKA young Tina Snow AKA H-Town Hottie and I'm from Houston Texas and I'm just the best female rapper that's poppin' off right now," Megan said in the unlocked video. "And on top of that, I'm a full-time college student."

'Love And Hip-Hop' Houston Edition Was Close To Happening

A few years ago, Houston almost became the latest city to join the Love and Hip-Hop series. It's unclear if Megan was auditioning for Houston or another city, though. This is her hometown so it definitely would've made the most sense. The series was going to happen but there were reports of too much violence amongst cast members Camera people and other production crew were also said to have been threatened with violence. Fans of the show still wonder how big this series could have been.

Megan Eventually Turned Into A Star With Breakout 'Big Ole Freak' Single In 2019

In the end, Megan didn't need Love And Hip-Hop to turn into a star. In early 2019, her "Big Ole Freak" single really started to take off and the only way was up from there. This record originally appeared on her "Tina Snow" mixtape from the summer of 2018. Many were unaware of the record during 2018 but Megan kept pushing the record and it eventually became huge. Currently, it is platinum in the US and peaked at No. 65 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Megan Ended 2020 With Success Of Debut Album

On November 2020, Megan finally released her debut studio album, "Good News," and it was worth the wait. This project contained hits such as "Savage" remix featuring Beyoncè, "Girls in The Hood," and "Don't Stop" feat. Young Thug. "Body" has since been another huge record that appeared on the album. 

Other appearances on Good News included Lil Durk, SZA, City Girls, and DaBaby. "Cry Baby" feat. Baby has since began to pick up a lot of momentum as the music video is also coming soon.
