Jillian straight up said the lowdown is if you go to sites like Wegovy, they list off all the side effects of these drugs that, keep in mind are not even for weight loss. She points out that they list off typical things like heart palpitations, nausea, and vomiting.
But the more serious ones are listed so far down, we ever get to the bottom of the list she wonders. Jillian listed off serious conditions like thyroid cancer, liver disease, kidney failure, etc. Jillian calls out the companies producing these drugs and says they are more concerned with the overall number and not the actual long-term health of the masses of people using drugs like Ozempic incorrectly.
‘15% of Fat Loss In 68 Weeks’
These companies' biggest claim is that they can help those who need it by saying, “wow we can drop 15 percent of someone’s body weight, in 68 weeks.” Jillian sums it up to about a year and a half of weight loss.
In the interview conducted by TMZ, Jillian claims that regular diet and exercise can actually help you lose more and with her program, it’s more like a pound a week. Those who are utilizing these drugs as losing about 25 pounds after that year and a half claims Jillian.
Regular diet and exercise can help you lose close to 70 pounds in that same timeframe. the nutritionist really pleaded her case to Harvey Levin and the gang by referencing a study put out by one of these weight loss companies claiming long-term success is minimal.
Jillian Michaels Sees A Better Route
The risk of losing all that weight is that you gain it back. These are the words of the drug companies themselves. She claims some of these “individuals gained 2/3 of their weight back.” She gave a heartbreaking example, “you basically have 7 pounds of weight loss,” claims Jillian.
The former The Biggest Loser coach ensures TMZ she isn’t mocking the companies, but she does believe that they need to have an open conversation about these drugs and the real issue with them.
Before ending the convo, Jillian said these are not her opinions, it's the data coming straight from these companies and ultimately, if it was her body, she wouldn’t take the risk. “It’s extremely dangerous and risky, and not worth it.”
