Sophie Lloyd Breaks Silence On MGK & Megan Fox Split Speculation

Guitarist Sophie Lloyd has something to say about the drama currently going on between Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly.

On Sunday, the "Jennifer's Body" actress shared a post about "dishonesty" along with a video of something burning in the trash. After deleting most of her photos and videos with MGK, including their January 2022 engagement, she deactivated her Instagram account.

The rumor mill immediately started to churn with speculation that MGK had been unfaithful with his guitarist, Sophie Lloyd. On Wednesday, Sophie finally spoke out to set the record straight.

On Wednesday, Sophie Lloyd finally addressed unfounded claims that she is the reason behind Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s split.

“Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who has been needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media,” her management team told Page Six.

“Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue,” the statement went on. “It’s disrespectful to her as a female artist and poor journalism and social commentary to be reporting anything else.”

Lloyd was ecstatic to join MGK’s Mainstream Sellout Tour in May 2022. In an Instagram post at the time, Sophie wrote, “So incredibly excited and honored to announce that I’ll be joining @machinegunkelly and his amazing band on the Mainstream Sellout Tour!! We’ll be all over the US and Europe playing venues I could only dream of growing up.”

“Thank you so much to all of you guys for supporting me and giving me this platform to allow for opportunities like this,“ she added. “And a massive thanks to the band for adding me to the squad!

On Sunday morning, even the "Transformers" actress addressed speculation that MGK was involved with Sophie Lloyd before shutting down her account. When one user commented, "He probably got with Sophie," Megan shot back, "Maybe I got with Sophie" along with a fire emoji.

In the caption, Megan wrote, "You can taste the dishonesty/ it's all over your breath." Those are lyrics from Beyoncé’s song “Pray You Catch Me,” which was featured on her 2016 album “Lemonade.”

If that wasn't enough, the 36-year-old actress also shared footage of something burning in the trash. A white envelope can be seen burning over what fans assume to be a purple duffel bag or a jacket.

It's worth noting that Machine Gun Kelly has yet to address the rift on social media. His Instagram account is still active and it does not appear that he has deleted any pictures of Fox quite yet.

On Tuesday, it looks like the couple might have spent at least a little time together on Valentine’s Day. The 32-year-old rocker was photographed sitting behind the wheel of a car with Megan sitting by his side, as per Page Six.

MGK was looking at something on his phone while Megan was looking down and away. That news comes only one day after the couple was photographed leaving a marriage counseling office in California, as per Daily Mail. The two reportedly looked “visibly upset” when leaving the office.

Although the two headed to the car park together, they reportedly left in separate vehicles. According to one source, the couple spent two and a half hours inside the building, but it’s unknown what they discussed.

On Monday, another insider told PEOPLE that Fox is still “very upset” with Machine Gun Kelly over an alleged fight they had over Super Bowl weekend. It’s not clear what caused the fight, but apparently, it was enough for Megan to remove her ring.

“Megan is very upset. They had a fight over the weekend and Megan won’t speak to him,” an insider said, noting that the couple “have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time.” The source also said that the couple “haven’t officially called off the engagement.”

Considering they were spotted together on Valentine’s Day, it looks like the couple might be trying to resolve their differences.
