Addison Rae is a true TikTok sensation, and well dancing is in her blood, something she impressively showcases in her short TikTok videos.

A true southern belle, Addison was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and throughout life has had to deal with a broken family. 

In a July 2020 Spotify podcast titled "Mama Knows Best" that she co-hosted with her mum, Rae spoke about divorce and how her parents were on and off for most of her childhood. At one point the family shared a mobile home as their primary accommodation, consisting of one main room plus a bunk bed. 

She continued to deal with an unstable life until her teens when she set her sights on attending college. At Louisiana State University, Addison tried out for the Tiger Girls, LSU’s college dance team but didn’t get through, and it was then that she started making TikTok dance videos. 

Her success can be attributed to the dance video she posted to self-proclaimed diva Mariah Carey’s song "Obsessed." Addison, then in her teens, was joined on the video by her mum, Sheri Nicole, seeing the post grow in popularity until it reached Mariah herself. 

When the Grammy award-winning singer gave the video her seal of approval, the results were viral. As her future brightened on TikTok, Rae grossed over 50 million followers, ranking second only after fellow TikTok star Charli D'Amelio.

The only time her rise to fame was put in doubt came with the threatened ban on TikTok in the US by President Donald Trump. That dark cloud soon passed however and Addison has made the news for her projects, trendy fashion, and relationships. 

Being a social media star means you are the center of attention, literally, and fans love it when two celebs pair up. Addison found Bryce Hall, a similarly popular TikToker with whom they formed the social media power couple. 

In late November 2020, the two announced their relationship to their fans through a YouTube video, followed by poolside pictures of the couple getting cozy on Instagram. 

Considered by many an on-and-off relationship, seeing as Rae disclosed they had dated a year earlier 'for three days,' the social media star remains optimistic. 

During the first lockdown, Addison took acting classes and coupled with her dance skills. Topped up with singing lessons, Addison is on her way to becoming a Hollywood, singer-dancer, and actor ensemble. 

Her debut on the silver screen comes in the form of a 1999 teen comedy remake titled He's All That, alongside Kourtney Kardashian.
