Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Got Matching Ink
In celebration of this year's valentine's day, Lopez and Affleck unveiled their latest act of love as they debuted matching tattoos to emphasize their commitment and passion for each other.
The "Ain't Your Mama" singer took to Instagram to reveal details of the event, captioning her photo carousel, "Commitment," alongside an infinity sign. She went on to commemorate lover's day by saying, "Happy Valentine's Day my love."
In one of the photos the singer posted, an infinity sign with an arrow can be seen on her left side alongside the words "Jennifer" and "Ben." Affleck's ink shows two arrows crisscrossing each other with the initials "J, B."
Lopez also uploaded several other throwback photos of herself and her husband cozy and packing on an intense PDA.
Fans React To Ben Affleck And Jennifer Lopez's New Ink
Several fans reacted differently to the power couple's matching tattoos, with some saying the gesture is "cursed."
One fan wrote, "Noo Jen, love tattoos are the kiss of death. Hahaha, love you two together though. If anybody can break the tattoo curse, it's this duo."
A second one said, "your heart is so warmly wrapped in love. Wrapped in Teflon and protected like no other. Ben loves you so purely, you both earned each other," before explaining that she's gladdened at the thought of knowing they're in a good state.
"Seriously I don't think people understand how great your love story with Ben is. I know for sure he's your soulmate because you wrote the best album ever when you were first with him. I'm so glad you found your way to each other again," a third fan penned.
Ben Affleck Has A Controversial Phoenix Tattoo
The Golden Globe award-winning actor came under fire after he debuted a large phoenix tattoo that covered all his back, claiming at first it was a "fake" for a movie role.
When asked about the tattoo, he said, "fake for a movie," adding, "I actually do have a number of tattoos but I try to have them in places where you don't have to do a lot of cover-ups, they get sort of addictive, tattoos, after a while."
The tattoo of the colorful Phoenix didn't go down well with Affleck's ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, after she quizzed about the message behind the image.
"You know what we would say in my hometown about that? 'Bless his heart,'" she noted. "A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario? I take umbrage. I refuse to be the ashes."
According to Daily Mail, Lopez also didn't like the ink. "It's awful," she said during an appearance on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live" in 2016. Lopez continued, "I mean, I would tell him that, like what are you doing? It has too many colors. His tattoos always have too many colors! They shouldn't be so colorful, you know what I mean? They should be, like, cooler."
Ben Affleck's Phoenix Ink Has A 'Meaningful' Message Behind It
Affleck wasn't having it with critics after they slammed him for the giant Phoenix ink. In an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," he explained what it meant to him.
The actor said, "I was about to say it represents something really important to me! It's meaningful to me. I like it. It's not something I sort of kept private," he also added that he loved it and was happy with it.
The phoenix ink isn't the only one Affleck is known for. The movie star reportedly has a dolphin tattoo on his lower back which he used to cover up the name of one of his high school girlfriends.
