Rumer Willis Appreciates 'Sweet' BF For Making Her A Mother On Valentine's Day

Many around the world typically celebrate the season of love, Valentine's Day, by paying homage to their partners, and Rumer Willis was not left out of the tradition!

The 34-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, could not help but shower him with praises on the special day, appreciating him for making her the happiest as a mama.

Rumer was all about her "sweet, sweet" man on Valentine's day with beautiful words on Instagram alongside six adorable pictures flaunting their affection. The duo looked totally in love in some of the pictures shared on Instagram, while others showed Thomas striking different comical poses. 

One such was a photo of him pretending to sit on one of two false toilets filled with soil outside a store and another showing him rocking an amusing headwear and looking away from the camera. Fans also got to see the indie musician's face on his partner's baby bump in a black-and-white image.

In the caption, Rumer began, "My sweet, sweet man @derekrichardthomas, I didn't know that love could feel like this. I have never been so happy in my life." She added that Thomas made everything "more fun, goofy, and joyful" while still caring for her love. Revealing what made her fall in love with him, she wrote:

"Your silliness and laughter is something I am so deeply grateful for and truly what made me fall in love with you."

The "Hostage" star did not stop with the praises as she appreciated him – again – for being her "partner in crime, confidant, best friend," and always agreeing to every adventure. Continuing with her gratitude, she thanked him for making her a mother and being her partner "in this wild ride of parenthood."

Rumer then noted that she and their unborn baby were lucky to love him as he already took "such good care" of them, after which she signed off with "your valentines – Rue and Little [seedling emoji]."

The touching tribute did not go unnoticed by fans as they rushed to the comments to compliment the lovebirds. One fan remarked, "To see u get the love u truly deserve makes my heart so happy! Happy Valentine's Day to such a wonderful couple."

A second follower gushed, "Such a beautiful love story. And a blessed new family!" while another commenter was thrilled to see Rumer happy in love. Not long after, Thomas celebrated his woman with a similar Instagram post but featuring eight snaps, beginning with her childhood picture and including a video of her caressing her baby bump.

"Roobie Rue," he declared in the accompanying message. "I love ya, honey, I love ya!" before adding, "You're the best partner I could ever ask for, I love being around you."

The expectant father went on to appreciate her for being in his life and changing him forever. He also thanked her for making a family with him while looking forward to dancing around the kitchen with their baby. Rumer was one of the first to react to the update as she wrote, "I love you so much," before another excited fan called the twosome "lucky."

Another supporter exclaimed, "I'm so happy for you guys!!! Ru's gonna be such a good Mommy!! Fatherhood will suit you well, just keep smiling."

Last December, just before Christmas, Rumer and Thomas announced their pregnancy on Instagram with a black and white picture of her baby bump, which The Blast shared.

The upload also included the Vista Kicks frontman and hinted that the child would be born sometime in 2023. Unsurprisingly, it drew congratulatory messages from fans worldwide, including the Willis clan.

Following the announcement, the family was on cloud nine, with some members taking to social media to send good wishes to the expectant parents. Rumer's mom Demi Moore was beyond delighted to be a grandma as she reposted the exact snap on her Instagram and captioned it, "Entering my hot kooky, unhinged grandma era."

Australian choreographer Sharna Burgess was one of the many who lauded the couple by penning in the comments,"OMG!!!! Rumer, I'm jumping for joy!!! Wow, congratulations, beautiful woman. I am so excited for you to meet the love of your life."
