Social Media Doesn't Believe Tory Lanez Wasn't Subliminally Speaking About Megan Thee Stallion On Twitter

It was a very wild 2020 forTory Lanez as he was called out by Megan Thee Stallion as being the one who shot her in the summer. That was after the two had a night of partying in Hollywood Hills, CA with Kylie Jenner. 

Lanez reportedly shot Megan in the feet after she left the vehicle that they were in with her best friend, Kelsey Nicole. Megan then took to Instagram Live that August to label Lanez as the shooter. 

On Thursday, Lanez was met with more backlash regarding Megan. This was surrounding a tweet he posted which appeared to contain lyrics from Megan's "Girls In The Hood " single. 

The lyrics were "Sometimes u gotta just stand outside ... to remind yourself your 'Outstanding." The real lyrics from the song are "I don't stand outside 'cause I'm too outstandin'." 

Lanez then took to his Instagram feed to try to explain that he was using someone's yearbook quote. They may have tried to quote Megan there, though. 

Of course, a lot of people online weren't feeling this move by Lanez as they flooded his mentions in support of Megan. This tweet would go on to be deleted by him. A lot of her supporters believe that Megan is constantly in Lanez's head and that's why he feels the need to subliminally mention her name on Twitter. Others believe that Megan does the same.

This week, Lanez also revealed that he has a single on the way with DaBaby. Baby has frequently collaborated on songs with Megan over the last two years so people were confused as to why Baby would work with Lanez considering Megan's beef with him. 

Megan took to her Twitter feed to address this situation as she claimed that this record is old and hasn't even been cleared yet. Therefore, she will be moving forward in shooting the music video for her "Cry Baby" song featuring Baby. 

In November, Lanez's lawyer plead guilty on his behalf in his case regarding allegedly shooting Megan. In October, the Toronto rapper was hit with a felony assault charge. This included one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, along with one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. 

The L.A. County D.A.'s Office also alleged that he caused great bodily injury to Megan. Should Lanez be convicted, he could serve 22 years and eight months in prison.
