The sources shared with Daily Mail that if the couple does attend, it'll be a civil affair between them and other family members. They said, "Harry revealed details of private conversations so everyone is on edge. You ask about the Sussexes and everyone immediately changes the subject."

The source also stated that Prince Harry's previous position on attending the ceremony is yet to change. During an interview with ITV's Tom Bradby in January, he said, "There's a lot that can happen between now and then. But, you know, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There's a lot to be discussed, and I really hope that they are willing to sit down and talk about it."

If Harry and Meghan choose to attend the coronation, they'll be spectators and not official members of the ceremony. Sources at Buckingham palace confirmed that the couple has no official role in the day's events and also won't receive an invite to the infamous balcony at Buckingham palace.

The same rules used for the Late Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee Celebrations will apply to the Sussexes' possible attendance for the ceremony. At the time, appearance on the balcony was for only primary working members of the British Royal family.

There is also the aspect of Harry and Meghan having yet to receive their official Dukedom. There are rumors on whether King Charles will award the couple the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh titles after he's officially crowned.

King Charles's coronation will be held on May 6th, which is shortly before the official state opening of parliament. The date now has government officials and courtiers rushing to meet the deadlines before the holiday comes up.

There are reportedly only 2000 seats available for the ceremony, as opposed to the 8000 seats used for the late Queen's coronation. To get a seat, the House of Lords and members of the British parliament will participate in a ballot.

May 6th also happens to be the fourth birthday of Harry and Meghan's first child, Archie. The royal family advisers are considering this because Harry may attend the ceremony alone or shuttle between events. A Daily Mail source said, "From what I know of Harry and Meghan, they will both want to spend some time with their son on his birthday."
