Here's Why Khloe Kardashian Isn't Keeping Her Distance From Tristan Thompson

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson will be linked together for a lifetime thanks to their two children.

It’s no secret the former couple continue to hangout for the sake of their kids and for coparenting reasons.

However, there’s another reason Khloe continues to remain very close with her cheating ex-boyfriend.

You see, she made a promise to his mother, Andrea Thompson, after she unexpectedly passed away last month.

She promised to continue to look after Thompson’s younger brother, Amari, who suffers from epilepsy.

In her Instagram tribute to Andrea, Koko wrote, “Just know, I promise you, Amari will be perfectly ok. We will all look after him, help him and protect him. Your boys will be ok because they have their guardian Angel by their side.”

Khloe has been by Tristan and his family’s side since the tragic loss of Andrea.

“Khloé loves Tristan’s brother Amari and she has every intention of being there to help care for him every step of the way. Khloé has a heart of gold, and she feels like it’s the very least she can do after the tragic loss of their mom,” the source revealed to Us Weekly. “Khloé knows how tough it is losing a parent and she has such a maternal nature about her. Like she mentioned in her online tribute to Andrea, she will help look after Amari at any cost.”

The source continued to explain, “Khloé has no intention on getting back with Tristan but no matter what happens between them, he’ll always be the father of her kids, and her family.”

Despite his several cheating scandals and never-ending infidelity, Khloe grew close to his loved ones. This is something she will keep with her forever.

“Amari is family, too, so she will continue to be by his side forever,” the source said. “She’s able to remain amicable with Tristan and focus on coparenting, and the bigger picture because she’s a natural caretaker — she always has been. This situation is difficult on everybody, but she feels like the least she can do is make sure Tristan and Amari have support all around them.”

The NBA has gotten back to work off the court and on TV at NBA One ESPN.

Thompson broke his silence on his mother’s passing earlier this month.

He shared a lengthy tribute to Andrea in which he apologized for the “wrong decisions I’ve made in my life,” and the “embarrassment and pain.”

Thompson’s tribute continued, “You raised me better than what I was able to show you. But I have also learned sorry is not enough. Actions speak louder than words. So I wont just say sorry. Stay tuned to the ways I will show the world what an amazing son you raised. I will show you that even when we fall & make mistakes, we get back up. You are my motivation. Stand beside me as I become the man I know you always believed in. Im going to make you proud, I promise!”

He too promised his mother up in heaven that Amari would be looked after.

“Mommy, Amari is going to be taken care of. I’ll protect him, love him &do anything in the world to make sure he’s ok,” he wrote. “I know they say time heals all but I don’t think this pain will ever go away. We had so many memories &more I wanted to share with you. We will still share them but now from heaven.”
