Shemar Moore Recalls Late Mom's Desire After Grave Visit With Newborn

Shemar Moore has introduced his newborn daughter to his late mother.

Nearly three years after he broke down while announcing the death of his beloved mom, Marilyn, the actor has ensured that her memory is never forgotten. Despite the emotions surrounding the event, Moore, alongside his girlfriend, Jesiree Dizon, took their daughter, Frankie, to the late matriarch's grave site and snapped a pic to commemorate the moment.

Best known for his appearance in shows such as "S.W.A.T," Moore has proven his love — and talent — for acting. However, that love is nothing compared to the love the actor feels for his mother, whose death he announced in February 2020.

At the time, the "Criminal Minds" alum told fans that he was "heartbroken" and referred to Marilyn as his "best friend and partner in crime," whom he "missed more than he ever thought possible."

While a lot has changed since her passing, the actor has ensured that the matriarch continues to be part of his life. To that end, Moore took his baby girl to meet his late mom at her grave, sharing one photo from the emotional journey on Instagram.

In the pic, the former "Soul Train" host placed one hand that held a glass of white wine, around Dizon, with his baby resting in the nook of his other hand. Both parents wore big smiles as they knelt by the tombstone with the words "this house is my son's home" emblazoned.

The bottle they were drinking from, a green hat, and a wine glass reserved for Marilyn sat beside the stone. Moore began his caption by writing:

"Shemar, Jesiree, Frankie, and the spirit of Grandma Marilyn….. Mom's dream was for me to become a father and give momma some grand babies… it took me a minute, but momma's dream is now reality!!"

"The Young and the Restless" actor explained that even though he had "accomplished much and experienced the good, the Great, the light, and the dark," he could not have dealt with her passing without his girlfriend. 

"We came back into each others lives and found love again and created a magical lil human together… I'll call her 'My little miracle'….. FRANKIE MOORE," he further detailed before wrapping up with:

"Jez, I love you and am so grateful… Daddy Loves Frankie… I love and miss you everyday Grandma Marilyn RIP 2/8/20."

Without wasting time, his longtime fans trooped into the comment section to remind Moore of their love for him. "I'm so happy you've found that happiness that brings peace, safety & joy to your life Shemar!" one person wrote.

Another added, "No doubt Grandma Marilyn held baby Frankie before she came into this world," and a third quipped, "such an amazing way to memorialize your mom and still share her memory."

"I remembered your mom's anniversary yesterday. She must be so happy. And your love for her keeps her alive and loved. Enjoy that little baby to the fullest and May God continue to bless your little family," another fan stated.

Moore previously made fans happy when he shared the first snapshot of his baby girl with them days after announcing her arrival. The pic showed him wearing a black cap, matching shirt, glasses, and a silver necklace as he looked lovingly at the tot in his arms. The actor captioned the post:

"FRANKIE MOORE!!!! BABY GIRL in da building!!! Born January 24… at 3:38pm…. 7.1 Pounds… 20 inches…. 10 fingers n 10 toes… Already THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!" 

Although there is no timeline for their relationship, PEOPLE shed light on Dizon after Moore introduced her to the world as his girlfriend during the sex reveal party the duo threw on January 9. Per the publication, the 39-year-old is a model who doubles as an actress with acting credits on "True Blood," "Hawaii Five-0," and "Days of Our Lives.

The mother-of-three also has a passion for makeup which she does professionally, dedicating a separate Instagram page to the business. Dizon also shared her work on her personal account, bringing even more customers.

As for kids, the model has two from previous relationships — a five-year-old daughter Charli with singer-songwriter Stephen Bishop, and a 16-year-old son, Kaiden, with an unidentified man.

Dizon has often shown off the close bond she shares with her children, often posting them on social media. The 39-year-old must love being a mom, as she hinted in the baby reveal footage of her and Moore that they might have more children.
