While on the Armchair Expert podcast hosted by Dax Shepard, Anderson revealed that she has no plans to get plastic surgery on her face or body to help her look younger. The "Barb Wire" actress said, "I never felt like I was any kind of great beauty, ever, no. Just a little funny-looking,"

When the interviewer asked about her thoughts on aging as a sex icon, Anderson replied that she was excited to see what she'll look like as an older person. She said per People, "I always said I'd recognize myself when I was old in the mirror. I want to let my hair go kind of natural gray, put my little straw hat on, and don't wear makeup. I mean, that's my comfortable kind of state."

Anderson also spoke about women's general fear regarding aging and losing their youthful appearance. She said, "A lot of women that kind of are these classic beauties have a really hard time with aging.
