Iggy Azalea has one less thing to worry about with a lawsuit over a car accident involving French Montana’s brother and a man who claimed he was struck by her car being settled.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Iggy Azalea’s attorney filed a request for dismissal of the entire case. It’s unclear if there was any financial settlement at this point, but the legal battle is over. Iggy was a named defendant in the suit but maintained she had no involvement besides her being the owner of the car.

As The Blast previously reported, Jeffrey Linettsued Iggy Azalea and Ayoub Kharbouch back in 2018, and he was demanding $250,000 in damages after he was allegedly struck by Azalea’s Jeep Wrangler. Linett claimed French Montana’s brother was behind the wheel at the time of the accident, and that both Azalea and Kharbouch were not paying attention when Azalea’s Jeep “rolled into his path and collided with him”.

At the time of the accident, Jeffrey Linett claimed French Montana’s brother Ayoub was snapchatting while driving, and that his distraction behind the wheel was what allegedly caused the accident. Linett claimed his injuries were so severe he had to undergo special surgery and he stated in a recent filing that “he contends that the negligence of both Defendants resulted in serious injuries”.

Iggy Azalea and Ayoub Kharbouch filed a joint answer to the complaint filed by Jeffrey Linett, and they both claimed Linett was negligent at the time of the accident and his “loss, damage or injury was proximately caused and contributed to by Plaintiff in failing to conduct himself in a manner ordinarily expected of a reasonably prudent person in the conduct of his affairs and person” and his “damages are attributable to his negligence”.

Iggy and Ayoub also claimed Linett was aware and assumed responsibility of a known risk, relieving them of any responsibility for any alleged injuries or damages. Iggy also denied the allegations through social media and said, “my name is mentioned in a lawsuit from 2016 because I was the vehicle owner of a car that was involved in an accident” and “the suit is solely with the insurance company and driver of the vehicle”.

The “Fancy” rapper may have settled some legal drama but she has been vocal about some personal drama involving her baby daddy rapper Playboi Carti. As The Blast reported, Iggy gave birth to son Onyx back in April of this year, and most of the world had no idea she was pregnant in the first place. Iggy blasted her ex Playboi Carti on social media and said “on some weirdo shit he has still refused to sign his birth certificate. He’s 9months old. Won’t even give his son he claims to care so much about his own last name” and “even tho onyx was a planned baby, that we both wanted”.

Iggy claimed she was “all alone” during Onyx’s birth, and that Playboi Carti was the only visitor approved at the time of their son’s birth because of COVID. Iggy also says the rapper missed their son’s first Christmas and that he has allegedly cheated on her. Iggy has since deleted her Tweets of her Christmas rant.
