Mariah Carey's Daughter Monroe Lip Syncs To 'It's A Wrap' As Mom Crashes Her Moment

Many would say that Mariah Carey's daughter Monroe learned from the best.

Not only can the 11-year-old sing, but she can also channel her inner diva like a pro. She recently performed a lip sync to one of her mom's old hits, "It's A Wrap," that Carey, 53, shared on her TikTok and Instagram pages. Viewers got to share in the nostalgia of the song, as well as see the comedic side of the iconic singer and her talented daughter.

Reminding fans of her mom, the 11-year-old holds the mic, closes her eyes and gives it all she's got while lip syncing to what many Carey fans would consider a song that brings a feeling of nostalgia. But she doesn't get too far into her little performance before her famous mom crashes the party.

The caption on the video reads, "POV: Every time I try to practice some vocals," and after watching the clip, viewers understood that meant Carey crashed the scene, grabbed the mic and took over the moment. Of course, it's all in good fun as Monroe looks into the camera and smirks.

Fans of the pop star took to the comment section of the TikTok video to leave their hilarious thoughts on the mother-daughter performing duo. "? I can only imagine what it’s like to have THE Mariah Carey as your mama," one fan wrote. Another added, "I love this sooo muchhh!! Monroe is a star already ?."

Fans also commented on the Instagram clip. Singer Al B. Sure commented, "???," and TV writer, producer, and actor Kenya Barris added, "Hold on… is that your baby????"

Some people thought it was Monroe actually singing and not lip syncing, which isn't too far-fetched since Monroe has been known to sing with her famous mom publicly on more than one occasion.

"I just know that is not baby Girl singing like that??? Because babbbyyy, if so, She said it’s a wrap for all them other babies ????.. I only watched this 1000 times ???," one person wrote. Another added, "Wait, is that her daughter singing like that??!?? ? unbelievable omg!! ?"

In December, Monroe joined her mom on stage to sing a duet during Carey's Christmas concert in Toronto, Canada in December. The two sang "Away in a Manger" together as their first ever public duet.

This wasn't the first time Monroe joined her mom on stage to sing. Monroe, along with her twin brother, Moroccan, sang "Always Be My Baby" at a show during Carey's Las Vegas residency a few years prior. The twins also danced while Carey sang during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade last year.

Carey shared a clip of her duet with Monroe on Instagram and many fans talked about how much they loved it. "Monroe has a great future ahead of her like her mother. Can't wait for what she can do to the music industry," one fan wrote. "She has the best teacher there is in the world to teach her to use her natural talents. Mariah is such a good mom," added another.
