Nick Cannon recently welcomed baby number 12, and Mariah Carey is seemingly not happy about it. The iconic singer is allegedly very determined to get custody of their twins following the news of his 12th child Halo Marie with model Alyssa Scott. According to reports, Carey wants to win legal custody over Moroccan and Monroe.

The "Songbird Supreme" reportedly made this decision after asking the father of 12 to make time for their children. On his part, he recently noted how hard it is to be available for "multiple kids."

While the "Wild' n Out" host announced his new baby with Scott, it wasn't the first time they shared a child as their first son Zen sadly passed away from brain cancer at an early age. The announcement of his 12th child also came shortly after he revealed his 11th with Abby De La Rosa

Mariah Carey Wants 'Primary Custody' Of The Twins

Following their divorce in 2014, Carey and Cannon agreed to have joint custody of their kids and co-parent them. However, the "Always Be My Baby" star is reportedly going to fight for full custody now. Per RadarOnline, a source close to the star revealed that Carey usually takes care of the kids and is more available than her ex-husband.

"Monroe and Moroccan are usually with Mariah anyway. Nick doesn't see much of them," the source said. The actor is mostly occupied with work and tries his best to see them. However, it is barely enough, and the iconic singer wants to make sure that he can't go in and out of their lives as he pleases while claiming to be an available father.

They said, "she wants to put him on notice that he can't just flit in and out of their lives while he attends to his other children. And she wants legal standing as the twins' primary caregiver." This new development comes after Cannon welcomed his 12th child.

Nick Cannon Now Has 12 Children In Total

The 42-year-old has fathered 12 children with six women within 11 years. The star had his first kids, Moroccan and Monroe, with the "Endless Love" singer in 2011, before welcoming children with other women, including Abby De La Rosa, Brittany Bell, LaNisha Cole, and Bre Tiesi before 2021.

He welcomed his seventh child, Zen, with Scott in June 2021, who died shortly after. Following the tragic incident, Scott wrote in a sad Instagram tribute to the infant, "It's a painful reminder that you are no longer here … It has been an honor and privilege being your mommy. I will love you for eternity."

The following year, Cannon announced his child with LaNisha Cole via a sweet Instagram post. He wrote, "God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on earth… I vow to protect, provide, guide, and love this child to the best of my abilities." He then welcomed another child with Brittany Bell in the same month, another with Abby De La Rosa the month after, before his most recent child, and the second one with Scott in December.

Mariah Carey Asked Nick Cannon To Make Time For The Kids

Carey reportedly revealed her plan to take full custody of their kids after she asked the "Gigolo" singer to make out more time for the twins. The star who finds it hard to juggle his career and multiple children revealed that it wasn't easy to be a present father. According to a source for RadarOnline, while the 52-year-old would have liked to be patient with him, Moroccan and Monroe's interests come first.

The source noted that Carey doesn't want to punish the reality host but only wants what is best for the children. They said, "Carey isn't trying to punish Cannon," however, she believes that sole custody is the most reasonable option, considering how busy he tends to be.

Nick Cannon Is Finding It Difficult To Balance His Career And Large Family

The "Pray For Him" singer recently revealed how hard it is to balance his career and family. In a recent "The Check-up: with Dr. David Angus" episode, Cannon explained that there was barely enough time to be an available father and a successful career person.

He disclosed that it was "always the biggest guilt on him" that he never got to "spend enough time" with the kids. The star also gave two reasons for this, being that he was either always working or too overwhelmed with how many people he had responsibilities for.
