Meghan King Edmonds hates having to share holidays with her former husband, Jim Edmonds.
Over a year after their messy split in October 2019, following five years of marriage, the former "Real Housewives of Orange County" cast member took to social media to share a sweet family photo and thoughts for the holiday.
"Merry Christmas Eve!" Meghan wrote on her Instagram page, along with a photo of herself and her three kids, including daughter Aspen, 4, and twins Hayes and Hart, 2.
Meghan King Edmonds Redefined Christmas
"That’s right, today I’m celebrating Christmas Eve with my babies. I hate being divorced and I hate splitting holidays so I decided I’m not going to let my pain define my holidays, in fact I’m going to REDEFINE my holidays. And just like that I declare today Christmas Eve!" she continued.
In Meghan's photo, her three children were wearing matching T-shirts, which they seemed to have been doing for the majority of the season.
As "RHOC" fans may have noticed, Meghan shared a number of photos in which her kids were wearing matching holiday pajamas.

Another person told Meghan it was her first Christmas after getting divorced.
"Dropped my girls off at their dad’s this morning. It’s lonely, but we are strong women and we will get through this! Merry Christmas!" the woman stated.
"It’s so lonely. It was a hard day for me today and yesterday," Meghan admitted.
Someone else reminded Meghan that the loss of Jim's lifestyle shouldn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.
"Know this...it’s not the big house, professionally decorated tree and expensive gifts they’re going to remember when they’re older, it’s the time they spent with their mommy, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins...those memories will be the ones they cherish," they noted.
Meghan King Edmonds Knows Material Possessions Don't Really Matter
"I know it because I’ve had all that... smoke and mirrors. Doesn’t mean I didn’t love the convenience or I won’t have it again, I just know it literally DOESN’T matter," Meghan agreed.
Another fan on Meghan's Instagram page offered her experience as a lawyer.
"As a family law lawyer, I always tell clients- holidays are when you are with your family. Celebrate them when you want, not when the calendar tells you to," they advised.
"And my lawyer has suggested the same. Thank you for having a heart. You have a tough job!" Meghan told the person.
