Retired NFL superstar Tom Brady recently showed off his athletic build on Twitter. The father of three retired from the NFL for the second time last week and hopefully the last. The first retirement announcement was made in early 2022; however, he was back on the field weeks later.

While Brady has not had the best run in the past year, the athlete retires as one of the best in NFL history. He played in nine Super Bowl games, out of which he won seven. Brady was also given the NFL MVP award in addition to other record-breaking accolades.

Brady recently gave fans something to feast their eyes on when he posted a mirror selfie in his underwear on his Twitter page. He made the post on Monday morning in fulfillment of a bet he made in June last year with his clothing company. In a post made at the time, Brady said that if the tweet got 40,000 likes, he would recreate a picture by some models in his Brady brand underwear.

Months after the post and with the 40k requirement reached, the company's Twitter page reminded him of his promise, and Brady made sure to answer. In the picture, Brady can be seen in nothing but a pair of briefs, with his entire upper body and legs bare.

The athlete didn't leave everything out in the open, though, and strategically placed his hand on his crotch. While posting the picture, Brady asked underwear models Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman if he was doing it right. He also posted a link to where to purchase the briefs for interested fans.

On Wednesday last week, Brady posted a video announcing that he was retiring from the NFL for good. He made the announcement precisely a year after the first but in a much less grandiose style. The athlete posted a brief video of himself saying that, unlike the first time, this decision was final and thanked everyone who supported him.

"Good morning, guys. I'll get to the point right away," the NFL star started the video. "I'm retiring. For good. I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first."

"I won't be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year," Brady continued. "I really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me." He went on to list everyone all his supporters and ended the clip with "Love you all."

He Allegedly Lost 15 Pounds

Before his retirement announcement, Brady reportedly struggled with mental focus and dropped around 15 pounds. Bündchen, the athlete's ex-wife, seemed to be doing much better and was spotted with her jujitsu instructor Joaquim Valente on several occasions. She has also taken up a number of modeling gigs since the divorce.

ESPN NFL reporter Jeff Darlington said via Page Six, "There is no doubt the offense never clicked … but Brady also knows his own mental focus was gone for a bulk of the season." This comes after the athlete and the rest of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were previously beaten out of the NFL playoffs by the Dallas Cowboys.

Darlington continued, "His physical stature, faced with 15 pounds of weight loss, was also in peril. His physical stature, faced with 15 pounds of weight loss, was also in peril."

In a move that ended their 13 long years together, Brady and Bündchen announced their divorce in October 2022. The former couple had reportedly been staying in separate homes prior to the divorce. They started having problems early last year when Brady announced that he was returning to the NFL.

The athlete briefly retired in early 2021; however, he was back on the field less than a month later. The decision apparently did not sit well with Bündchen, who he shares two children with, resulting in their divorce. While announcing the divorce, Brady referred to it as "painful" and said they were committed to their co-parent roles.

"In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage," the former NFL wrote. "We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way."
