Playboi Carti Planning Deluxe 'Whole Lotta Red' Album As Iggy Azalea Drama Finally Ends

For months, fans of Playboi Cartiwaited for him to release his sophomore album, "Whole Lotta Red." There were weeks when it was possible that Carti would put it out but it never did. 

This past week, he finally revealed that the album would be out on Christmas and he kept his word as it was available on all streaming platforms at midnight. This project contains a lengthy 24 tracks along with appearances by Kid Cudi,Kanye West, and Future. 

Fans began to pour in negative feedback about Whole Lotta Red as it wasn't what they expected for the last two years. 

In addition to its release, Carti's ex-girlfriend and baby mama, Iggy Azalea, blasted him on Twitter for saying he skipped Christmas to go to an album release party with the woman he cheated on her with during her pregnancy. 

She added that Carti skipped the birth of their son this year to go play PlayStation with Lil Uzi Vert in Philadelphia.

On Sunday, Azalea took to Twitter to reveal that the hatchet has been buried with Carti. They spoke, and she explained that she wanted what's best for their son.

"I’ve spoken to my bd and as fucked up as this shit’s been... it was for the best because now shits aired out & gonna change for the better w my son. That’s all I wanted."

Carti has also said on his account that the deluxe edition for Whole Lotta Red is coming as well. This has been met with mixed reactions.

In the midst of the Azalea drama and negative feedback on Whole Lotta Red so far, it is still in a position to become the No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. 

According to Chart Data, it is projected to move 125,000-135,000 units in its first week. On Twitter, things got bad with the feedback about the album as phrases trended such as #WholeLottaTrash and #WholeLottaSkips. Nonetheless, the streams are putting this project in a position to win big for its debut. 

Carti and Azalea's son was born in the summer but it appears that they were done then as well. The breakup was officially confirmed in October when Azalea took to her Instagram stories to say “You Lost a Real 1. People take loyalty for granted [and] that's why I'd rather be alone." 

She also added that she is a single mother now and will be raising their son alone. Many questioned why Azalea had a child with Carti in the first place considering that she is 30-years-old and Carti is 24, as critics cited that she is more mature.
