Big Sean is one of Detroit's greatest rappers of all-time as he always represents the city to the fullest. He loves the city's sports teams as well, especially the Pistons of the NBA. 

Now, he has earned a very impressive position with the team and that is being their new creative director of innovation. Sean took to social media to express how excited he is for this opportunity and detailed how he's always wanted to be involved with the team at some point in his life.

Sean Expresses Excitement For Opportunity With Pistons

"Unreal," said Sean excitingly on Instagram account regarding his partnership with the Pistons and how this is a moment he's always been waiting for. 

"I’m now the CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF THE @detroitpistons! “Creative Director of Innovation”! I got a office in the facility n everything (looking for a intern by the way)! Growing up I knew I either wanted to rap or hoop for the Pistons lol. crazy how life works. I look forward to creatively adding what I can to this iconic franchise!"

Sean Reminisces On Watching Pistons Win 2004 NBA Finals In-Person

Sean also discussed how he was in the nosebleed seats to watch the Pistons win third NBA championship in 2004 vs the Los Angeles Lakers. They did so in five games.

"This a big Boss up fareal! Thank you! I was in the nosebleeds for the championship they won in 04! I had a grant Hill posted in my room growing up! N the Bad Boys gave the city a identity and face along with back to back championships! This is nuts man."

Big Sean Also Released 'Detroit 2' Album This Fall

Sean has been winning big in 2020 as he put out his sixth studio album, "Detroit 2," in September. This debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with over 111,000 units in its first week. This was led by singles such as "Wolves" feat. Post Malone and the Grammy-nominated "Deep Reverence" feat. the late Nipsey Hussle. 

Other appearances included Travis Scott, Young Thug, Anderson .Paak, Ty Dolla $ign and his girlfriend, Jhenè Aiko. "Stories" were given by Erykah Badu, Dave Chappelle, and Stevie Wonder.

Sean Is Still Dating Jhenè Aiko

Sean also dates R&B star, Jhenè Aiko. The two officially got back together in December 2019. This was nine months after their initial back. Since reconciling, the two have collaborated on multiple records such as "None Of Your Concern" on Aiko's "Chilombo" album this spring as well as Sean's "Time In" and "Body Language" which also included Ty Dolla $ign from Detroit 2. 

They collaborated as their Twenty88 group. Chilombo did very well as it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and has earned numerous RIAA certifications for its singles.
