The sports world is still talking about 45-year-old NFL quarterback Tom Brady announcing he is officially retiring from the NFL — for good this time.

Brady took to social media earlier this week to break the news, which comes less than two weeks before the biggest game in the NFL -- the Super Bowl.

Now that the 45-year-old is done playing football, some have been speculating if he would continue in the NFL by becoming an analyst or broadcaster. Though Brady is planning on focusing on his family, one longtime broadcaster thinks he may still make an appearance at the big game next week.

Longtime broadcaster Bob Costas is putting it out in the open -- stating that Tom Brady could make his television debut with FOX Sports during the Super Bowl, which airs Sunday, February 12.

"In the immediate future, Fox has the Super Bowl this year," Costas said when speaking to CNN. "So, I would expect that he would be part of their coverage. Not in the game itself, but there’s a six-hour pregame, and then a halftime, and then a postgame, and they’d be very foolish not to want Tom Brady to be front and center as part of that."

At this time, FOX has not announced Brady will broadcast or make an appearance nor did they know about Brady's plan to retire until it happened. Play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and analyst Greg Olsen will be in the booth during the big game.

Super Bowl 57 will air on FOX. The game will take place in State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The game is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. E.T.

Last year, the legendary quarterback reportedly agreed to a 10-year, $375 million broadcasting deal after he announced his retirement the first time around. However, Brady then came out of retirement to play with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers once again.

“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first,” Brady continued. “I won’t be long-winded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever there’s too many.”
