Chloe Cherry had some downtime, so the actress allegedly decided to steal a $28 blouse and now, she has an upcoming court date.
Chloe Cherry Has A Date With A Judge
The former adult film performer has a date with the courts on March 1 after getting caught stealing a blouse from a local small business. The actress went into the store and obviously was loving a lot of items.
She was in her hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In the court documents, it says the incident took place at Building Character mall where employees showed the police footage of the actress entering a dressing room with a $28 Moda International blouse.
It then showed her exiting the changeroom with no blouse in her hand, the employees shared that the blouse was not in the changeroom, and they assumed she had taken the shirt. This seems odd seeing as according to the court docs, she bought several other items and paid for them with a credit card.
Chloe Cherry Took The Blouse
The actress went on record admitting that she indeed did take the blouse and she even returned it to the officer. She was immediately charged with misdemeanor retail theft in January. The incident took place on Dec. 27.
A rep for Chloe spoke with TMZ, “In December, there was confusion over a blouse that wasn’t properly charged to my client’s credit card. In no way did she ‘admit’ to taking the blouse, since that was not the case.”
The lawyer went on to claim that the model’s celebrity status is being taken advantage of. “This story seems to be more about a local store trading on a celebrity’s name more than anything else.”
When Page Six asked the rep if Chloe admitted to taking the blouse, they responded that “it was not true.”
Chloe Cherry Played A Disturbed Teen
The actress’s biggest role so far is on HBO’s Euphoria. She played a young woman who likes to stay in the company of drug addicts and dealers probably because she is a user herself. She is also the girlfriend of a dealer who eventually. Passes away.
She was a full-time cast member in season one and a recurring cast member in season 2. Some followers of the news online are already saying this is “art imitating life”.
As for the boutique owner, Marty Hulse, he says, “I know it sounds piddly, but when it comes down to it, we’re all small businesses.” The blouse was worth about $45 but Hulse was selling it for $28.
“You’re stealing from your neighbors,” he insisted reminding the actress that this is the community she grew up in. This isn’t the first time that Cherry has been accused of and convicted of stealing.
Back in April 2015, the actress had previously stolen from another retail store. We have to assume it isn’t an issue with money as Chloe paid for the other items and she is a working actress who has said in the past that she has no problems going back to porn, she is still young enough.
