Ellen DeGeneres got the surprise of a lifetime at her wife’s birthday party.
Portia de Rossi pulled off something wild for her wife… on her own birthday.
The “Arrested Development” actress recently celebrated her 50th birthday with a guest list including Kris Jenner and Brandi Carlile.

You can tell from Ellen’s face that she was absolutely stunned and flabbergasted.
She let out an audible, “OH MY GOD” when she saw Jenner.
So, what was the big surprise?
Portia arranged for her and Ellen to renew their wedding vows.

The couple tied the knot on August 16, 2008, following the Supreme Court of California legalized same sex couples to get married.
They got married in their Beverly Hills backyard with only 15 guests.
Jenner served as the couple’s vow renewal officiant.
“These two were born for each other, and Corey and I have spent so much time with them as their friends, neighbors, dance partners, cocktail buddies and late-night chat sessions,” Jenner said to the Ellen and Portia. “These two are couple goals who continue to amaze me with how cute they are together and are a match made in heaven. Two peas in a pod. Their love and commitment to one another is amazing and it makes me so happy they have each other to love and cherish and grow old.”
Portia hilariously tells Ellen, “Surprise,” before going into renewing her vows.
The actress called her wife “the most important thing to me” in front of family and friends.
Ellen emotionally stumbled through a response to her wife.
“I… yeah… I just adore you, I love you and I would not be on this earth without you. You save me every day. Thank you for saving me every day and I’m the lucky one,” the talk-show veteran said. “And WOW everyone.”
The couple was met with cheers and applause at the end of the video.

Fans were very emotional in the comments section.
“OK I didn’t know I’d be crying today but here I am… how beautiful… I couldn’t be happier that you two have one another & share such an amazing love,” one fan wrote.
“Everyone needs someone like Portia/Ellen in their life. Everyone needs to be loved and to love exactly like them,” another replied.

The couple has been together for 14 years and will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary in August.
They met at a party in 2000, but began dating in 2004. Their relationship gave Portia the courage to publicly come out as gay.
“I’ve had my years of being not open, many years of it,” she told the Advocate in August 2005, despite previously being linked to ex Francesca Gregorini. “It’s an honor for me to do this; it’s just nice to be asked.”
