Todd Chrisley's oldest daughter, Lindsie Chrisley, from his first marriage, is opening up about visiting her parents months after their incarceration.
It is widely known that the infamous "Chrisley Knows Best" stars Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to a combined nineteen years in prison last November on federal charges of bank fraud and tax evasion.
Since their imprisonment, Lindsie never shied away from baring her heavy thoughts with her 673k Instagram followers, finally accepting the whole situation and taking everything in stride.
Lindsie Chrisley Says Adjustments Take Time After Visiting Parents In Prison
The 33-year-old, who is a mother to Jack, 10, from her marriage to Will Campbell, responded to fans' concerns not long ago about visiting her parents in prison and how it affects her son.
After permitting her followers to ask her anything on her Instagram Story during a Q&A session, she shared some of the questions, including one who wondered if she had been able to see her parents yet.
The same fan also asked whether she planned on taking Jack with her, to which she replied, "I have been able to visit. Everything is new for everyone, and adjustments take time." She went on, "Jackson is in communication, and as far as visits are concerned until I've talked with Will, I don't feel comfortable answering that yet."
The fan's question and answer were attached to an adorable photo of her little boy lying on a bed, covered with white sheets, and playing a game with undivided concentration. A second follower inquired, as seen in another Story update, "How are you emotionally with your parents right now? Does Jackson ask lots of questions?"
In response, Lindsie mentioned that she previously addressed a similar inquiry on her podcast, "The Southern Tea," and still went ahead to cover it again.
"Most kids ask a lot of questions," she wrote. "Some things are easier to explain than others. I've trusted myself and ability to parent him – I might have navigated differently than someone else would have, but we all know our kids best."
Besides, given her son's tender age, the reality star believed it was vital for her to "keep everything simple and not overly complex." She then concluded, "I'll link the [podcast] episode here; it's during [sic] the Q&A portion – [three red heart emojis] @thesouthernteapodcast."
The 33-year-old's Q&A session with fans comes after it was confirmed that Lindsie was one of her father's first visitors at the Federal Correctional Institute Pensacola in Florida alongside his mother, Nanny Faye.
The Blast reported that less than a week after the patriarch was locked up, he received his first visitors in his daughter and mother. It's unsure if Julie was also visited. Before going to see her dad in prison, Lindsie spoke of an unscheduled road trip in an episode of her "The Southern Tea" podcast but did not specify the reason for the journey.
Additionally, she mentioned visiting a beach, triggering chatter about where she had been. She shared, "This past weekend, there was a thread about people trying to figure out what beach I was at and why I was there. If it was my parents' beach house, if it was a new condo."
The influencer did not elaborate but further into the episode, she shed more light on her family adjusting to their new reality. She acknowledged her family's struggle over the past year with her parents, and although the result was not what they expected, there was "some sense of peace and closure," providing them with the chance to adjust.
The 'Chrisley Knows Best' Star Had High Hopes Days Before Her Parents' Incarceration
Lindsie always rooted for her parents' acquittal from the onset, even days before their bond hearing. However, her hopes were quashed when they were found guilty and sentenced.
She discussed the distressing experience in a recent Instagram reel, indicating that she had accepted the changes in her life. The video was a collection of pictures taken a few days before her parents' bond hearing when she had "high hopes" and lived on prayers.
The TV personality revealed so in the lengthy caption, adding that God had other plans even though her family was heartbroken with the outcome. Afterward, she noted that things might look so perfect on social media, but behind the smiles, people faced different circumstances, proving that no one knew when someone had challenges.
Lindsie believed life was messy for everyone and advised fans to stop telling themselves that it should be "flawless" or hoping for "something no one has."
