Jenna Johnson Is Counting Her Blessings After Welcoming First Child

Jenna Johnson is feeling blessed!

The talented dancer and her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, who have been married since 2019, went through some years of infertility before welcoming their miracle first child this year. Since his arrival, they have been quite secretive by deciding to keep his face away from social media with occasional posts like the one the dancer recently shared. 

With the birth of their baby, the couple has been over the moon at the joy of finally being parents. Taking to her Instagram story, she posted a picture of her husband sitting on a chair wearing a white undershirt over beige pants and white socks. 

He looked down, smiling at their newborn, who lay on his thighs as he looked so in love with him. The sight was such a perfect one as she wrote below the image, "3 weeks with the absolute loves of my life ??."

Fans would recall that they announced they were expecting their first child after two years of trying in July before letting everyone know it would be a boy a month later. To announce the birth of their son, they did so in a joint post on Instagram with an inspiring message.

In the black and white picture, the 36-year-old cradled his wife's hand in his as the newborn held her thumb. The caption read, "Our world is forever changed ? 1.10.2023." Comments from colleagues and fans congratulating the happy new parents garnered under the post.

An excited fan gushed, "Congratulations!! You're both embarking on the most rewarding dance of all ??." Another jokingly referred to their kid dancing out of the womb, writing, "Congrats. The kid probably came out doing the salsa. Haha."

Pro wrestler, Nikki Bella, noted, "Chills!!!! So happy for you both! Sending you all so much love!!!! ?✨???" while a third follower wrote, "Congratulations!!!!!! Welcome to the best part of your lives ❤️."

Rumer Willis also sent her love, stating, "Congratulations you two, I can't wait to meet you, sweet boy," while fellow dancer Derek Hough wrote excitedly, "Wowza !!!!! This is perfect! So happy for you all. A new beautiful family begins."

The couple certainly made pregnancy cute while expecting their firstborn, as the expectant father gave immense support to his wife during that time. The Blast shared that the "DWTS" couple were very excited at the thought of being parents as Johnson got candid about her beau. 

Speaking to PEOPLE, she pointed out that her pregnancy was a great experience with Chmerkovskiy because he made her feel empowered. She noted that he expressed gratitude by thanking her for being the vessel carrying their baby.

She pointed out that his actions did not surprise her because they had planned and hoped to expand their family for a very long time. The professional Latin dancer said:

"We tried for a while to get pregnant. And this is something we've wanted for a very long time in our relationship. So I knew that [Val] would be awesome and excited."

Despite being sure of having his support, experiencing it for real was something she described as being on "a different level" with him mainly because he helped her view herself as beautiful despite her body's changes and struggles with it. 

She explained further, "I've always been pretty toned, pretty in shape, because of dance. And so, while my body has constantly been changing, it's been a lot and confusing at times. But he has made me feel so special and so beautiful."

She also pointed out that she had learned a few things while waiting to welcome their baby boy, including "respecting and appreciating" her body because it has always been there for her and doing a great job at holding and growing "a precious little angel."

The star had to teach herself to slow down by affirming to herself that she was not lazy but was serving a purpose at that moment.
