Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding looked phenomenal but according to her dad, there were issues, and he wants his money back.
Nelson Peltz Wants The Security Deposit Back
The billionaire father of the actress took issue with some of the things that panned out at the six-figure wedding. The Daily Mail is reporting that Nelson filed a lawsuit against wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba of Plan Design Events for refusing to return the security deposit.
The deposit is $159,000 and Nelson feels he deserves it back because the girls did not follow through with their plans. Nelson said his wife Claudia Peltz hired the duo through their company but eventually parted ways because.
The women quit after nine days of working with Nicola and Brooklyn because the guest list was way past the events they normally take on. The under 30k followers on Instagram page should be an indicator that they were not capable.
Nicola Peltz & Brooklyn Beckham’s Guestlist Of 500
The couple is pretty high-profile and maybe the company thought this could be their big break but after finding out that they would have to wrangle 500 guests they said ‘nope’ and bowed out.
If that is the case then you give the money back, right? You are admitting that you can’t handle it. The lawsuit says. “The celebrity of the wedding couple combined with the anticipated attendance of many high-profile guests required that the wedding planner have the expertise and staffing to plan, coordinate and execute a wedding event of the expected caliber and complexity.”
Nicola’s dad is ready for a fight because he came armed with proof that it was they who left the job and should therefore return the money (they probably already spent). The court docs feature telling text messages between Nicola and the wedding planners.
Nicola Peltz Text Messages Are Revealing
The actress spoke via text with her planners once she realized that they were messing up RSVPs and struggling to handle the high-profile guest list. “The guest list included more than five hundred people, including numerous celebrities, athletes, dignitaries, and other influential individuals, who travelled from all around the globe to attend,” says the lawsuit.
In the text, the wedding planners give excuses for why they are struggling like “give me a sec because this system of RSVP is new to me,” and Nicola referring to Lewis Hamilton saying he “didn’t RSVP, so explain why his name is on the list please, we spoke to him, he cant come so explain why you say he rsvpd yes.”
You can read the frustration in the awkward text messages. in another series of text Nicola writes, “I’m tired of catching mistakes on the rsvp list. The planners attempt to make lite of the situation. “I pulled the wrong database, I’m a wedding planner not a tech,” using emojis to shake the awkwardness.
Wedding Planners From Hell?
The lawsuit wasn’t only about the guestlist, it also states that both Nicola and her dad believe the planners were “abusing alcohol”. In the lawsuit, Nelson’s attorney says, “references to alcohol use and possible abuse were not unusual.”
The wedding planners make a few references to drinking in the wedding group chat claiming to be celebrating a job well done on the hurdles throughout the 9 days. The lawsuit says that the company “used this as an opportunity to take advantage of Peltz by making material misrepresentations on both their website and in person regarding their experience, expertise, and capability of planning the wedding.”
