Ashton Kutcher is done with the getting high phase of his life!
The “Coming Soon” actor has surely had some fun days, partying with friends, and has also done some things while being high. In a recent interview, the actor recalled the incident that led to him quitting cannabis.
Ashton Kutcher Recalls Why He Quit Weed
Although the actor is still a social butterfly, he has however decided to stop his intake of weed for over ten years. In the interview with Esquire, Kutcher detailed a somewhat funny experience that led to his decision.
According to the “Just Married” actor, he had attended a friend’s wedding in Italy, and for the fun of it, he had popped a THC mint. And in Kutcher’s words, “That s**t did not go well.” When he took it, he forgot he had a vasectomy, and the effect of the THC made him believe he had lost feeling below his waist.
Kutcher further disclosed that he had begun to panic and wanted to go to his room. But he had difficulty locating his room. However, with the help of his wife, Mila Kunis, he found his way to his room.
The effect of the drugs didn’t stop there. While on the bed in the room, he was doing some math and had convinced himself they were broke. “We can’t even afford to be here right now,” Kutcher recalled.
After the effect of the Mint had died down the next day, the actor said that he realized that he had missed the decimal point in his calculations. That was the end of weed for the actor. At times when he misses it, he consoles himself with his favorite punchline, “The minute weed became legal in California, I got banned from doing it.”
This is not Kutcher's only wild experience he has with substances. The Blast documented that the “My Boss’s Daughter” actor had confessed his feelings to Kunis while he was stupidly drunk.
Kunis confirmed that the actor first declared his love for her at the premiere of the Netflix film “Luckiest Girl Alive.” The actress said that Kutcher’s declaration Of love came after he had a “little too much tequila.”
Kutcher admitted to the memorable incident happening on an episode of his Peloton running series, “Our Future Selves.” He also said he had played Kenny Chesney's song, “You And Tequila,” when he confessed his love. “The first time I told my wife that I love her was while listening to You and Tequila,” Kutcher confessed.
He added, “I might have had a little too much tequila. I showed up drunk at her house, at like two in the morning, and I just started screaming, ‘You and tequila make me crazy.’ And I told her I love her, and she’s like, ‘Don’t say it if you don’t mean it. Are you gonna love me in the morning when you wake up from this hangover?’ “
The “Jobs” Actor Opens Up About His Rare Disease Ordeal
While the handsome actor has had his fair share of fun times, he has also had down moments, during which he has been entirely candid. Last August, Kutcher opened up about having a “super rare” autoimmune disorder that left him unable to see, hear, or walk for a long period.
Speaking of how he had felt having the disease, the 44-year-old said, “You don’t really appreciate it, until it’s gone. Until you go, ‘I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to see again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to hear again, I don’t know if I’m ever going to be able to walk again.’ Lucky to be alive.”
Thankfully, the entrepreneur overcame this challenging time, and he explained how he could get through it. In his words, “The minute you start seeing your obstacles as things that are made for you, to give you what you need, then life starts to get fun, right? You start surfing on top of your problems instead of living underneath them.”
Besides this rare disease, the 44-year-old actor had also suffered pancreatitis from drinking “too much carrot juice” when preparing for the role of Steve Jobs in the 2013 movie “Jobs.”
