Andy Cohen is letting the Bravo fans know that The Real Housewives of New York: Legacy is still happening. The recent News reports are false.
‘RHONY: Legacy’ Is Still Happening
Andy Cohen has made one thing clear, if it doesn’t come out of his mouth (or appear on his social media) it’s probably not true. The housewives’ executive producer shot down the news reports that Legacy wasn’t moving forward.
Andy took to Twitter and wrote, “Don’t believe everything you read #RHONYLEGACY.” This obviously made a lot of people happy after a few news organizations reported on the cancellation of the newly announced spinoff.
Word on the street was that there was a breakdown in negotiations. Some of the women allegedly wanted more money or more screen time. Apparently, Bravo wasn’t willing to bend and the talks had collapsed.
Andy Cohen Was Tight-Lipped
Now, Daddy Andy never said that the show wasn’t canceled he just said don’t believe what you read. Chances are RHONY Legacy is still happening but maybe there was a breakdown in negotiations but not enough to shut it all down.
Fans know how temperamental the OG cast of RHONY can be. Can you imagine having to negotiate with the likes of Dorinda Medley, Bethenny Frankel, Luann de Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan – they have blown up over the tiniest thing, and presenting them with the wrong number could be terrifying.
That being said, Andy didn’t share any more details. He just let the fans know that they have nothing to worry about.
The Fans Appreciate Andy Cohen
Since dropping the tidbit of information, the fans have been praising Andy in the comments for relieving them of the worry. “Thank God. Because no one is looking forward to the ‘NEW Rhony’ we just want our OG’s back,” writes one fan.
“I hope so! Don't take away our joy, AC!” commented another follower. “I beg you Andy!!! Bring back the real RHONY!” wrote another follower who reminded him how good it used to be by adding in a photo of the original cast. Luann, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Bethenny, and Alex McCord.
This great announcement from Andy wasn’t enough for some people, though. A select few followers just wanted the series to drop already or at least start filming. All this talk is rubbing some the wrong way.
Andy Cohen & Bravo Are Getting Backlash
One follower is making it clear that they are excited but don’t understand what the hold up is if it really has nothing to do with contracts and all that paperwork.
“Then give us some reliable information about legacy. It's gone on to long. We want the OG's back. Ramona, Sonja, Luann were on the show the longest. Pay them. They made RHONY what it is. I hear your friend Bethenny is available now. Read the room Andy we want legacy not a reboot,” wrote one fan in an aggressive tone.
They weren’t alone, another person commented with the same energy. “Welll if you’d just give us what you promised and give us RELIABLE TRUSTWORTHY UPDATES ABOUT THE 15 shows you’ve told us are coming…. maybe we wouldn’t have to be reading lies.”
One thing has been the common consensus. “We need our girls back 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 #RHONY.”
