Loni Love Updates Fans On The Importance Of Health Amid Gallbladder Removal Surgery

"Health is wealth" is what she preached in a reel posted to her Instagram page as she revealed in a light-hearted way what she was doing in the hospital. Lying propped up in the bed, the 51-year-old could be seen dressed in a hospital gown with a red tag, alongside a scarf and reading glasses.

Love began by asking a question as she disclosed that she had just finished surgery. She said, "I had a quick question. Whenever y'all got to the O.R., do y'all ever make the whole O.R. stop and get into a little prayer? We had a prayer moment. That was me, okay?"

She jokingly said, "The nonbelievers, y'all think some positive thoughts. Put on some Kirk Franklin. Thank you, Kirk. Let's say a quick prayer before y'all put me under." The 2003 "Star Search" runner-up then reassured her fans, "I'm fine. I just had my gallbladder removed. So it's just fine. You know I'm fine."

The talk show host threw a jab at her boyfriend, James Welsh, by noting that he was getting on her nerves, so she sent him out to get lunch and come back to pick her up. Ending on a serious note, her face became stern as she advised her supporters to make sure that they checked their health. The 51-year-old added:

"Go to the doctor. Check your numbers. Get your blood work done. Because without your health, you are just as broke as if you don't have nothing in your bank account. Health is wealth. I wanted to let y'all know that."

As expected, her comment section was flooded with messages from colleagues and followers. One worthy of mention was her former co-star and friend from "The Real," Tamera Mowry, who wrote, "I'm blowing up your phone now!"

Another person wished for her fast healing, stating, "?❤️ heal strong, my friend!" While this person noted, "Prayers lifted for you, Loni! We love u ❤️." A fourth fan wrote, "Glad you are doing well, and thank you for taking time to tell us to go get checked out!! Love me some home girl Loni. #detroit."

'E! Daily Pop' Co-host Speaks On Marriage, Body Positivity, And Being A Creative

Speaking on the Yahoo Life series, "Unapologetically," the TV host had some sage advice across several topics. On the topic of romance, Love noted, "If you're looking for love, look for it everywhere," while recalling how she met her long-time boyfriend through a dating app.

The author added that she believed that love could happen to everybody, regardless of their appearance or size. She also stated that marriage was not something she ever felt the need to pursue. In her words:

"We live in more modern times now, where women can be a lot more independent, and they can still have the love they want."

She also admitted that her attitude toward body image was to get healthier, especially in her 50s. Love noted that she did not care for those who got judgmental of other people's bodies. She stated, "If you are a Black creative, continue to create. Don't let anything stop you.
