Lisa Marie's last Instagram post was about her late son Benjamin, whom she shared with her estranged husband, Danny Keough.
At the time, she discussed dealing with her son's death, who committed suicide in 2020, sharing a picture of an op-ed she wrote for People magazine for National Grief Awareness Day.
"I have been living in the horrific reality of its unrelenting grips since my son's death two years ago, I thought I would share a few things to be aware of in regard to grief for anyone who is interested," read the emotional post shared on August 30, 2022.
She added, "It's a real choice to keep going, one that I have to make every single day and one that is constantly challenging, to say the least … But I keep going for my girls. I keep going because my son made it very clear in his final moments that taking care of his little sisters and looking out for them were on the forefront of his concerns and his mind."
Priscilla Presley Is Contesting Her Daughter's Will
In the wake of Lisa Marie's death, a huge in-house fight started within the family regarding the directive of her will. While the document named Lisa Marie's eldest daughter, Riley, and her late son, Benjamin, as successor co-trustees per a "purported 2016 amendment," Priscilla recently filed a claim in court to contest its "authenticity and validity."
The businesswoman was formerly a trustee of the will alongside Lisa Marie's former business manager, Barry Siegel. In the documents obtained exclusively by The Blast, Priscilla claims that Lisa Marie's name was incorrectly misspelled and that her daughter's signature on the 2016 paperwork "appears inconsistent with her usual and customary signature."
