'Gold Rush' Star Tyler Mahoney Shows Off Fistful of Gold

"Gold Rush" spinoff star Tyler Mahoney doesn't just play a gold hunter on television, she's the real deal and recently showed off a pretty decent score she dug out of the ground during a prospecting session Down Under. 25-year-old Mahoney who made her big debut on the popular Discovery spinoff, "Gold Rush: Parker's Trail," recently took to Instagram and shared her haul while prospecting for gold near her home in Western Australia.

Tyler Mahoney shared the gold discovery via her Prospectors Club social media page, which she uses to share tips and tricks for finding gold to up and coming miners.

"Some little nugs from one of the scrapes today!" the reality star captioned her video of a handful of little golden nuggets.

She also gave some tips on how she found her score and what others should look out for when on prospecting missions of their own:

"[When] walking through the bush take the time to read the colours you can see," Mahoney explained.

Tyler Mahoney revealed her long history of gold mining in the famed red dirt of Western Australia when she took Parker Schnabel out into the vast terrain while searching for gold. Luckily, Mahoney didn't disappoint and led Parker to some pretty good scores.

Continuing her tips about staying observant, Mahoney writes:

"Geology changes, contact zones, vegetation changes, rock types. Note what you see, note where the old boys were working, and note in which cases you are finding gold. Reading the ground like this will give you so much information about the gold in that area and how to follow it! This ability is one of the differences between someone using a metal detector and a prospector!"

Tyler Mahoney went into lockdown mode, like the rest of the world, earlier this year when COVID-19 hit, however, Australia has been able to control the spread of the virus and recently lifted many restrictions around the country.

The lifting of the restrictions allowed Tyler Mahoney to have a long-awaited birthday party to celebrate turning 25 years old. The gold mining star was seen in a stunning neon outfit and posing for pictures with friends while enjoying getting back to a normal way of life.
