Katharine McPhee is looking to give her son Rennie Foster a sibling.
The singer opened up about her desire during her appearance at "The Jennifer Hudson Show." She shares her son, Rennie, with her husband of over three years, record producer David Foster.
While explaining how much she loves being a mother, McPhee noted that she and her husband are not in any "crazy rush" to get pregnant again.
Foster previously said in an interview that he has no regrets about having a kid with McPhee. The music veteran admitted that despite how hectic his schedule may still be, he intends to set aside a lot of time to spend with his baby.
Foster also discussed his unique connection with McPhee at the time, claiming that despite their age difference, they "belong together."

Katharine McPhee Loves 'Being A Mom'
During her appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" Friday, McPhee opened up about motherhood after welcoming her first child, Rennie, with record producer David Foster on February 22, 2021, per Page Six.
The American singer-songwriter shared that she is eager to welcome another child with her beau, whom she married on June 28, 2019, at a church in Kensington, London.
The music producer also has five children from his previous relationships: Allison, 52; Amy, 49; Sara, 41; Erin, and 36.
"I would love to have another baby, but we'll see," the American Idol alum disclosed in the interview, seemingly unconcerned about the 34-year-old gap between her and Foster.
Although McPhee hopes it happens soon, she and Foster are taking their time.
She added, "We're not, like, in any crazy rush, but, um, I hope so because I love being a mom. I really love it."
David Foster On Fatherhood
Foster also shares the same sentiment about being a new parent, recently revealing that he enjoys the fatherhood experience.
He informed People that welcoming a child with McPhee has not filled him with any regrets.
"I've loved every single day," he added. "It's the standard thing of like, 'Oh, well, you were so young when you had your children, and you were working day and night, you never saw them. And there is some truth to that, sadly, for my [older] kids. "
However, he plans to create a lot of time to bond with his son, despite how busy his schedule might still be.
He said, "I was just working a lot. Even though I'm working a lot now, I'll cancel anything just to hang with him. It's just different."
David Foster Wants To Offer Son Rennie His Wisdom
The septuagenarian also shared that he plans on offering his son the wisdom he has garnered over the years.
"I think that I can offer one thing to Rennie even though I won't be around when he's 50 or 40 even, or 30 maybe," the 73-year-old said. "I think I can offer him wisdom from my [73] years on the planet, and maybe that's not a bad trade-off. I hope so."
Foster went on to explain that this perspective resulted from his prior unwillingness to be "patient" and that he was anxious to impart it to his child.
"I was not patient when I was young," the Grammy Award winner said. "I was arrogant and just on the move."
Katharine McPhee And David Foster 'Belong Together'
Foster also spoke on his unconventional relationship with McPhee and said that despite their age difference, they "belong together."
The music producer compared their relationship to legendary vocalist Celine Dion and her late husband, Rene Angelil, who also had a "huge age gap."
"With Céline and [late husband] René Angélil, there was a big age difference…It just looked and felt normal," he said. "But it was, of course, kind of odd in the beginning."
McPhee, who took part in the interview, highlighted their shared history as being noteworthy.
She said, "We just love our history, how we met and where we are now. Sometimes we look at each other like, 'This is so wild that we're together.'"
