Priscilla Presley Calls Loss Of Daughter Lisa Marie 'A Dark Painstaking Journey'

Priscilla Presley appreciates her fans for their support since losing her daughter.
Lisa Marie Presley, the only daughter of the late musician Elvis Presley, died on January 12 after possibly suffering a cardiac arrest. The grieving mother penned a touching tribute on social media for the first time since the tragic event.
Priscilla Presley Posts Message To Fans For Support Amid Late Daughter's Memorial
Losing a child is not easy, but the matriarch has been holding it down for her family, especially for her grandchildren left behind. Taking to Twitter, the 77-year-old wrote:
"To YOU, I'm truly overwhelmed with your words, your prayers, your love, and your support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart in trying to help me get through this loss. Every parent who has lost a daughter or son knows what a dark painstaking journey it is. 💔."
It did not take long before her fans and followers swarmed the post with messages of support. This user tried to lift her spirits, writing, "Hang in there, Priscilla. The world loves you. There's so much beauty in that. Sending you hugs, love, and light. ❤️."
Another user penned, "God bless you, Mrs. Presley." While this person empathized with her by noting how much loss she had endured, adding, "My heart breaks for all that you are experiencing. But I know you are also the strongest, and there's nothing you can't do. We all love you and will always be here, sending love, prayers, and support ❤️."
A fourth user commended her strength, writing, "We love you so much. Praying for you and the girls always. Your strength is so inspiring ❤️🩹" While a fifth fan stated, "we love you so so much, Cilla, you are so incredibly strong, and I can't tell you how heartbroken i am for you, we're always here to support you through anything ❤."
The Blast shared that the late singer was laid to rest at the family's popular renowned estate, Graceland. It was also noted that family and fans flocked to Memphis, TN., to pay homage to the late star and her family.
She was buried next to her son, Benjamin Keough – who died by suicide in 2020, in Graceland's "Meditation Garden." During the service, the older woman read a eulogy written by her twin granddaughters.
Per US Magazine, Priscilla began reading, "I have no idea how to put my mother into words; the truth is there are too many. Lisa Marie Presley was an icon, a role model, a superhero to many people all over the world, but Mama was my icon, my role model, my superhero in much more ways than one."
"Even now, I can't get across everything there is to be understood or known about her, but as she always said, 'I'll do my best,'" the eulogy ended. Afterward, she hopped on Twitter to thank supporters by writing:
"Thank you all for your condolences, you have touched me with your words. It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference."

The heartbroken actress, who had previously shared a picture of the mother-daughter duo, took to social media to reveal their last memory together. The Blast shared that she did so after the memorial was held for LMP via her Instagram page. In it, the pair sat side-by-side in a restaurant booth as they leaned toward each other for the snap.
In the caption, she wrote, "I feel blessed to have a photo of the last time I saw my beautiful mama. Grateful @georgieflores took this. ❤️" The Comment section was filled with words from "The Good Doctor" star's friends and colleagues.
Laura Lynne Jackson wrote, "She is with you always. You are a legacy of her powerful love and powerful light…❤️🙏🏻✨." While the Senior Culture & Events Editor at Variety, Marc Malkin noted, "❤️❤️❤️ sending love and light. May your mama's memory be a blessing."
Another actress Eiza Gonzalez penned, "Love you Riley ❤️," while other celebrities like Chloë Grace Moretz, Rummer Willis, Jenna Dewan, and Tracey Cunningham, amongst others, dropped red heart emojis in commiseration.
