Breaking It Down

The 37-year-old told "E!" corespondent Justin Sylvester that she has been undergoing intense therapy since the fight to help handle it a bit better mentally.

"I've had many therapy sessions after the fight. I started out with two therapists. I usually will counsel with my pastor or my godfather...but this time I wanted to take it a step further. I said, 'I want to find someone who doesn't know me, who's going to be completely unbiased...to just, like, really dig deep and help me figure out what caused me to get to that point,'" she explained.

First Time Opening Up

Samuels said candidly that this conversation was the first time she was really breaking down her issues in a public setting for all to hear.

"I actually learned I had some childhood triggers that I did not realize I developed over the years," she went on to tell Sylvester, adding, "and that were harboring within me for a very long time."

Clearly, the after-effects of the incident did some residual damage to the reality star, who described her emotions during the fight next.

The Fight

Samuels previously described her involvement in the fight as something she could barely recall due to "blacking out" while it happened. Since then, she has relegated the situation in her mind as "that was the best way that I could describe the feeling that I felt. It was almost like my body was still moving, but I was just not there."

"Then moments later, days later, everything started coming back," Samuels went on to say. "Certain pieces were coming back to the point where I wasn't sure which order of events happened."

The Root Of Her Problem

Samuels admitted that therapy sessions have led her to uncover the root of her issues, being that she was previously physically abused by another boy and her father.

"He was very much a person that would stick his finger right in your face like, 'What'd I say?!' and as a child, you can't do anything about it," she recalled of her father's parenting style that spurred these modern day issues in her.

Nonetheless, Samuels has hope for therapy, concluding by saying, "I really wanted to investigate what my triggers were, what would cause me to get to that point. So now that I'm more aware of what those triggers are, nothing like this will happen again. We have not slowed down the process and it's been amazing."
