Although Jordin Sparks has been keeping a relatively low profile as of late, that doesn't mean that the "American Idol" Season 6 winner hasn't had a successful and wholesome year with her family, despite the current global circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking withPeoplefor a brand new in-depth discussion, Sparks opened up about quarantine, some new business dealings, as well as the prospect of having other kids in her future, more specifically, the conscious lack thereof she intends to keep up.

On Her Son

Speaking about what it's been like raising her two and a half year old son, DJ, with husband Dana Isaiah during the pandemic, Sparks said that the family has a solid routine that has kept everyone involved fairly occupied.

"We have a pool and he loves being in the water, so anything that we can do with water [he loves]," the 30-year-old singer explained to the publication. "He wants to help me wash the dishes, he wants to step in a puddle, he wants his little splash pad, he wants to pour water into cups, he wants to go swimming. Those are all things that we can do at the house, so I'm really grateful that one of his favorite activities is that, 'cause we can definitely provide that!"

Sparks said that her and Isaiah are exacting any and all measures to make sure that DJ is as minimally affected by the pandemic as possible, insulating him in their own protective cocoon at home that the couple had largely agreed to not venture from unless essential while things initially transpired.

"It has been a really crazy year, but there are a lot of blessings if we take the time to look for them. I've been in a constant state of gratitude for my health, for the roof over my head, for my family, my family's health. It's been nuts, but it's been good at the same time," she went on to say of her current feelings.

Baby Number 2?

Sparks mentioned that the family is excited to safely venture out and see a few carefully deemed family members for the holidays, with a special mention of a new little cousin for DJ to play with.

But when asked if the butterflies about seeing a family member's new baby would instill the wish to have another in her, Sparks laughingly said, "Nope. One. One and done, we're good."

She praised DJ's positives and the constant enrichment the pair derive from him, but added, "He knows exactly what he wants, what he likes, what he doesn't like."

Sparks' Reasoning

"It's a lot to keep him entertained, and we have these full-on conversations. So for me, I'm like, 'You know what? I know, mentally, I could not handle two of these conversations right now,'" the singer detailed of why a second baby isn't in the cards for her. "He's got cousins, he's got friends. He's good! And it's not because it's a crazy time, in that he's in his twos or anything — it doesn't have anything to do with that. I'm just like, 'Yeah, one is good.'"
