Amy Robach Allegedly 'Blindsided' By T.J. Holmes' Uncovered Affairs: 'She Had No Idea The Scope'

Amy Robach reportedly feels like she bit more than she could chew concerning her romance with co-anchor T.J Holmes. This comes after news of Holmes' past affairs with two ABC staff were unearthed amid an ongoing investigation by ABC showrunners.

New reports have revealed that Robach "had no idea the scope of T.J.'s alleged past office romance," although it is claimed that he was "up front" with her about his past indiscretions. While no decision has yet been made on their positions with the network, it seems unlikely that they will return.

Anchorwoman Robach was taken aback when news of her affair with "GMA3" co-host Holmes "blew up into a scandal," US Sun reports.

The duo's dalliance became public news last November after pictures of the pair having intimate hangouts surfaced. Since then, they have become tabloid fodder for the press and viewers of the ABC network.

A source shared with the media outlet that Robach feels like "collateral damage," especially as the news of her romance with Holmes has unsettled the dust around his previous affairs with other ABC staff.

One of the said instances allegedly involved Holmes and an intern whom he was older than by 13 years. Another was with an ABC producer known as Natasha Singh.

"She had no idea the scope of T.J.'s alleged past office romances," the source said, adding, "She certainly did not foresee that their relationship was going to cause major upheaval – outside of her own marriage."

According to Page Six, an insider claimed that Holmes was "up front" with Robach regarding his previous indiscretions. Still, it hasn't stopped the news from raising concerns about the male tv personality's conduct.

Holmes is now accused of acting like a "predator" when he engaged in a lengthy affair with an intern named Jasmin Pettaway in 2015 while still legally married to Marilee Fiebig.

"He was a predator who took full advantage of his position, and he was reckless," a source shared with the Daily Mail.

"It was Jasmin's first real job in television, and it was a big deal for her. She was looking for a mentor, and she reached out to several people. T.J. was someone who was responsive, but he absolutely abused the position of trust."

Holmes' previous indiscretions and his continued connection with Robach played a role in the decision to remove the duo from hosting "GMA3" as ABC attempted to quell public outrage.

An internal investigation remains ongoing at the network since Robach and Holmes were suspended, and it is unclear when the showrunners will reach a conclusion. "There's been little movement. [ABC brass] does not seem to [be] very competent in how they're handling this," a source said per Page Six.

However, despite the slow nature of the investigation, the likelihood of the duo returning to take up their previous positions keeps dwindling by the day.

Holmes, in particular, seems to have even lower chances as his indiscretions are more glaring, while Robach's only blemish is her affair with her co-host. 

"He worked very hard, and it took him a long time to get to 'GMA,' and it's unfortunate that he may lose his job over Amy [and sleeping with the staff]," the insider noted of Holmes.

In the wake of the scandal, Robach and Holmes' marriage to their partners, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, is over. Robach was reportedly close to sealing her split from her actor husband when her scandalous affair hit the headlines.

The duo tied the knot in 2010, two years after Robach divorced her ex-husband Tim McIntosh, with whom she shares two teenage daughters.

Meanwhile, Holmes filed for divorce from Fiebig, an immigration lawyer, towards the end of last year in a court in New York City. The anchor and his now estranged partner were together for over a decade. They got married in March 2010 and have a daughter Sabine, whom they welcomed in January 2013.
