Per TMZ, one of the world's most famous animal rights groups, "PETA "— which stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — took the infuriated public by surprise after commending Jenner for her unconventional outfit.

The makeup mogul had on a wild look for the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show as she donned a black velvet gown topped with a giant, lifelike lion head. She further clarified in an Instagram post that the animal's head wasn't a real lion, writing, "faux art creation constructed by hand using manmade materials."

Enthralled by Jenner's outfit, PETA's president, Ingrid Newkirk, expressed his thoughts about the bold look during an interview, saying, "Kylie's look celebrates lion's beauty and may be a statement against trophy hunting, in which lion families are torn apart to satisfy human egotism."

Appreciating the businesswoman for going faux, he concluded by saying, "These fabulously innovative three-dimensional animal heads show that where there's a will, there's a way."

Although her lifelike lion head look was applauded by PETA's president, Newkirk, not everybody else understood the message the makeup mogul was trying to pass on.

Per The Blast, the mom of two, who seemed pleased with her whole look for the fashion show, shared multiple pictures of the eye-popping outfit on her Instagram page.

Although she assured fans that no animal was hurt during the creation of her dress, her post didn't still sit well with a lot of her supporters, who blasted her in her comment section for attempting to model such a look.

Expressing their grievances and not mincing words, a fan went ballistic and asked lots of rhetorical questions, writing, "Wtf? Are we supporting the killing of endangered species again? Can't they for once use their platform for something good other than showing?"

Continuing with their rant, they wrote, "How much money they have and their looks… sad (I know that the lion is not real, but the message was very clear."

An appalled individual commented, "I really hope that's not real. Disgusting promoting animal abuse and cruelty like that." A third who seemed utterly shocked by Jenner's outfit wrote, "This is just the worst thing I've ever seen her do. And probably the first worst thing I'm at a loss for words."

A rather disappointed fan dropped in their two cents, writing, "This is totally disturbing.. Fake or fashion whatever… This is like you promoting poaching… We should protect our wildlife and endangered species in every way."

"Even if it's not real, it's so in bad taste, especially when you know that lions are victims of poaching around the world," an angered fan pointed out.

Zac Efron Unfortunately Got Into The Bad Books Of PETA

It seems not every celebrity gets to receive commendable remarks from the animal rights organization for exploiting wildlife animals.

As previously reported by The Blast, actor Zac Efron got some heat from PETA for appearing in several Kodiak Cakes ads with a captive bear in tow. Kodiak Cakes, whose signature is displaying a bear in front of its merchandise, recently signed the "High School Musical" star as their Chief Brand Officer for the company.

The actor in fulfilling his duty, appeared in a promotional clip alongside a real bear to shoot an ad for the Cakes company.

Displeased with the promotional video, PETA spoke up and informed Efron that animals belong with their families rather than in front of a camera for amusement.

The organization's Foundation Director of Captive Animal Welfare, Debbie Metzler, further asked "The Greatest Showman" actor to "come down to Earth."
