In May 2019,Kodak Blackwas arrested during the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, FL. This was due to authorities finding out that he falsified information on firearm applications. He also ended up receiving the weapons as police traced several weapons found in his hometown of Pompano Beach to him. 

In November, he was sentenced to 46 months in prison. This is all while he was experiencing superstar status. From that point, fans debated if he would be able to remain a star while being incarcerated for so long.

Kodak Given New 2022 Release Date From Prison

It was reported before that the Florida rapper would be released around August 2022 but now, there is a slightly different date that has supposedly been set. 

According to DJ Akademiks, Kodak will be released on November 22.  Fans have since been hoping that this will be the final release date and will not be pushed back any further. This is still a very long time from now but Kodak seems to be persevering so far.

Kodak Was Transferred From Kentucky To Illinois Facility After Claiming He Was Tortured By Guards

Last month, Kodak was granted his request to be transferred to a facility in Illinois after claims of being tortured by guards at the one in Kentucky. He filed a lawsuit that addressed this situation and it worked out in his favor. The location in Illinois is USP Thomson, a high-security prison. 

The lawsuit was filed against the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Before the official Illinois transfer, he made a stop at FTC Oklahoma City. Bradford Cohen, Kodak's attorney, says the guards in Illinois are conducting themselves with more professionalism.

Kodak Recently Gave Out 1,000 Turkeys To Families In Pompano Beach

Last week, Kodak continued to give back to the community as this time, he gave out 1,000 turkeys to families in Pompano Beach, according to TMZ. Attorney Cohen revealed that Kodak spent $15,000 in order to obtain these turkeys.  

The turkeys were distributed at E. Pat Larkins Community Center on November 11. Chips and sodas were also included as citizens waited in a line of cars. Kodak's team put the items in trunks of cars as the event took place from 11 AM-1 PM.

Kodak Released New 'Bill Israel' Album Last Week

On November 11, Kodak also released his third studio album, "Bill Israel." The album title was in honor of his first name along with his commitment to Judaism. This project contains 11 tracks with appearances from Tory Lanez, Lil Yachty, Gucci Mane, and more. 

It is his first album since 2018's "Dying To Live," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was headlined by the hit single, "Zeze" featuring Offset and Travis Scott, which has since been certified 4x platinum by the RIAA in the US.
