Gymnast Shawn Johnson Shows Off Flexibility During Cuddle Time

Gold medal Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson may be retired from strutting her stuff on the balance beam in front of the entire world, but that doesn't mean she's lost any of her skills and recently showed that she is still a 10 when it comes to flexibility. The 28-year-old star, who recently celebrated her daughter's first birthday, took to Instagram with a fun video while pinning down her loving husband, Andrew East, and proving that it's not so easy to split with an Olympic gymnast once they've got you in their grasp.

Shawn Johnson and her husband Andrew East have a loving relationship that was built on a foundation of competitiveness, with both of them being pro athletes. Andrew is a long snapper in the NFL, who most recently played for the Washington Football Team. He attended college at Vanderbilt University and the two met while Shawn was competing on "Dancing With the Stars."

Shawn has spoken about their early days of dating and joked that she wasn't exactly locked down with the football player.

"We had gone on one date, this was, like, in 2012. But I didn't really consider it a date," Shawn has explained on her YouTube channel.

She added, "So in between, like, during the nine months, I went on a date with other guys. I didn't think I was ever going to see you again. So to me it was kind of like, I met this guy, he asked me on a date, whatever."

The relationship obviously grew and the two ended up tying the knot in 2016 during a ceremony in Tennessee.

Earlier in the week, Shawn Johnson showed that the romance and love is still very much alive with Andrew East when she smothered him during an impromptu snuggle session.

"When all you want is some cuddles," the gold medal gymnast captioned her video.

It's pretty comical -- while Andrew sits in a chair and tries to swivel away from his loving wife, Shawn kicks her gymnastic training into gear and performs an impressive split. Unable to do anything to reciprocate, with his arms pinned down, Andrew finally gives in and does the best he can by stroking his wife's hair.

Shawn and Andrew recently celebrated the first birthday for their daughter, Drew Hazel, and the retired Olympian gushed about the occasion on social media.

"My little girl is ONE ? This year was the best year of my life. Hands down. We spent this past year soaking up every moment with @drewhazeleast and it was the absolute best," Shawn captioned a video of the birth of their daughter in a sponsored partnership with Enfamil.

It's unclear if their little girl is going to follow her mommy's footsteps on the balance beam ... but if she does, she'll have the best coach around!
