Top-secret Fox musical competition has had celebrities like Jordyn Woods, Kandi Burruss, and recently Wendy Williams battle each other in elaborate costumes and a full-face mask.

Williams recently reminisced about her experience on the show. The daytime talk show host's debut on “The Masked Singer,” was unfortunately also her last, as she unveiled to the fans of the show that she was “Lips.” In September 2020.

Williams's one-time appearance happened at the same time when her recent on-camera conduct and sobriety were questioned as she began filming the new season of “The Wendy Williams Show.”

Beginning in South Korea, “The Masked Singer” first show aired in January 2019 on Fox. On the show, celebrities conceal their identities in head-to-toe apparel and sing songs.

The popular show is hosted by American comedian Nick Cannon and judged by celebrities, including Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger.

The show has run four successful seasons, and the winners have been T-pain, Wayne Brady, and Kandi Burruss. Many fans had guessed Williams's intricate costume in the season four performance as she performed the Odyssey's “Native New Yorker.”

The radio host's single performance earned her an elimination from the judges. Williams explained to People, that she has no contrition about her resolution to appear on the show.

The actress also claimed that she was relieved after performing the song, as it was out of character for her. In essence, it was an amazing experience for her.

She disclosed the reason behind her costume choice and said that talking is what she does best, as she could neither sing nor dance. She, however, thanked everyone for their kindness.

As exciting as it was to be on “The Masked Singer,” Williams kept the news all to herself.

However, during a discussion on “The Wendy Williams Show," the media personality shared with her audience that she was only allowed to share the news of her presence on the show with two people of her choice.

This was a compulsory rule from the show's executives, and the two-chosen ones will also have to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Williams opened divulged that she did not share the news with anyone, as she doesn't have anyone in her life that would keep the information to themselves. Therefore, she took a more dramatic approach by letting everyone in her life watch the big reveal on national television.

What Is Going On With Wendy?

The daytime talk show host said everyone she knew had a loud mouth and made a not-so-subtle reference to her parents, who might accidentally let the information slip while shopping at Bloomingdale.

She joked that she didn't fly for the show, only to be turned around because her appearance was now public knowledge.

The icon's appearance on “The Masked Singer” was flanked by speculations about Williams's behavior during the “Hot Topic” segment of her show, when she slurred her speech. Did this have anything to do with why she was sent home? No one knows.
