Andrew and Tristan Tate are still behind bars and will be for some time.
The Tate brothers were taken to a Romanian prison where they’ve been living since their December 29, 2022 arrest.
The two were arrested on charges of human trafficking and rape. Andrew has also been accused of recruiting young women and forcing them to create online pornographic material/ content.

Andrew and Tristan aren’t the only people allegedly guilty of this crime. Two women, Luana Radu and Georgiana Naghel, are also behind bars and were arrested in connection with the Tate brothers.
Earlier this month, the brothers filed an appeal to be released from detention and the appeal was… “DENIED.”
Now, it’s being reported that Andrew and Tristan’s detention sentence has been extended.
They will not see the light of freedom until February 27th.

According to reports, a judge granted prosecutors another 30-day extension on their arrest.
Andrew furiously responded to the news via his lawyers and said he is “being arrested for a crime of opinion.”
Defense lawyer, Constantin Ioan Gliga, told Romanian news outlet Gandul, “We continue to maintain that practically at this moment the Tate brothers are being arrested for a crime of opinion, for what they said, at some point, in the online environment and not for what they actually did in their private lives.”
He added the judge’s decision to extend the Tate brother’s time behind bars by 30 days is “unjustified and totally exaggerated.”

In addition to an extended prison stay, Romanian authorities recently descended upon Tate’s compound near Bucharest and took 15 luxury cars, 14 designer watches and cash worth an estimated 3.6 million euros or 3.9 million US dollars.
The country’s anti-organized crime agency has identified six victims in the human trafficking case who were reportedly subjected to “acts of physical violence and mental coercion.”
They were sexually exploited by members of the alleged crime group.
Following the raid of his home, Andrew’s Twitter account tweeted, “Anyone who believes I'm a human trafficker is genuinely a moron,” in addition to, “anyone smart enough to understand the American System is unfair would be mind blown by the injustice of the Romanian System.”
His account has tweeted and retweeted multiple times since Andrew was taken into custody.
In August 2022, Andrew shared a video to his Instagram account where he talks about “championing women.”

“I champion women all the time. I say how they should be protected. How beautiful they are. How much I love my grandmother,” he said in the now-eerie video. “My grandmother had nine children. There was my father and eight more. They all had a bunch of kids, blah, blah, blah. I stood there and looked at my 93-year-old grandmother and there was a room, a full room of maybe 70 people that came from that ONE WOMAN. Isn’t that remarkable.”
