Following a shootout between King Von and fellow rapper Quando Rondo, the Chicago-based rapper has been reported dead at age 26.
It is unclear if Quando Rondo and his group shot King Von or if it was done by the Atlanta Police Department, who responded to a distress call at the shootout scene.
However, speculations of bad blood between the rappers are allegedly responsible for getting out of control.
As more information surrounding the November 5 shooting outside the “Atlanta Club Monaco Hookah Lounge” surfaces, fans are still distraught over the rapper's untimely death.
Did King Von And Quando Rondo Inherit The Alleged Beef Between Them?
While it is almost impossible to find out if King Von and Quando Rondo had a previous disagreement, the youngsters moved with opposite circles.
They are both signed to different rappers; with King Von signed to Lil Durk, while Quando Rondo recently became part of NBA Youngboy.
Rumors circulated that the youngsters might have inherited the alleged beef in their relationship to their record label owners. The possible connection was made when it became apparent that King Von shared photos of him hanging out with NBA Youngboy ex-girlfriend Jania.
King Von Sparked Dating Rumors With NBA Youngboy’s Ex-Girlfriend Jania
The young rapper had insisted that he and Jania were only making music together, but the photos already stirred up some drama between him and NBA Youngboy’s mentee Quando Rondo.
Confirming there was no beef, King Von shared a video on November 5 before his death of himself saying, “Ain’t no rap beef and ain’t no real beef, unless somebody got shot or something.”
It is unclear if the video was seen as a challenge by Quando Rondo and his crew, and they wanted to defend their mentor’s honor.
King Von’s Open Criticism For Tekashi 6ix9ine
Notorious for his antagonistic relationships, King Von’s relationship with Tekashi 6ix9ine was also volatile. King Von wasn’t too pleased with what 6ix9ine did to stay out of prison after he was under heat from the law for alleged murder. He openly criticized the rapper, and even went as far as cutting off his relations with people Tekashi was associated with all the time.
King Von, who had worked with Akon to release a song chronicling their prison experience titled “Locked Up, Pt.2,” earlier in the year, made his displeasure with the singer known after Akon collaborated with 6ix9ine to release a song. King Von stated that he has “lost all respect” for Akon.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Reaction To King Von’s Death
Akon was not the only one canceled by King Von as he criticized the Rap Queen, Nicki Minaj's association with 6ix9ine, and said that she had sold her morals.
Nicki's recent collaboration with NBA Youngboy has given rise to speculations that King Von's open criticism for Tekashi 6ix9ine and the people associated with him might be the cause of his all-too-soon demise.
Not surprisingly, 6ix9ine wasn't friends with King Von, even after hearing about the rapper's death. The “GOOBA” singer commented with a laughing emoji as his reaction Von's death.
