'Vanderpump Rules' Star Scheana Marie Faces Backlash After Gender Reveal Tease

Scheana Marie celebrated a gender reveal party with her boyfriend, Brock Davies, their family, and their friends earlier this week and because she failed to confirm the gender of her baby publicly right away, she's been faced with backlash. 

After sharing several photos and videos taken at the bash, the "Vanderpump Rules" cast member reacted to her online haters, who suggested she was being inconsiderate and rude when she posted photos from the event but didn't reveal if her baby is a boy or girl.

On November 6, Bravo's The Daily Dish shared a report regarding the backlash Scheana received, as well as her reactions to the hateful messages.

After telling her fans and followers that she would officially announce her child's gender on November 11, Scheana tweeted, “It’s amazing to me how many people have opinions on how and when I should be announcing my pregnancy and revealing the sex…” 

Scheana first confirmed her baby news with a photo post on Instagram with Brock, who she's been dating for one year.

Scheana also reacted to a message from a fan who said that she was getting backlash because the "rule of thumb is that you announce after about 4 or 5 months.”

“There is no RULE. I announced when my doctor felt I was in the safe zone. All genetics were tested and cleared. And I’ve had 4 ultrasounds," Scheana, who suffered a miscarriage in June, replied. 

“I wish the haters would leave you alone,” another fan wrote. 

“Me too!!" responded Scheana. "Everyone saying I got pregnant [because] other girls on the show are? It’s disgusting. I don’t see things as a competition like some of them do."

“Babies are miracles! Especially after my fertility journey…I didn’t think this was ever possible!” Scheana added in another post. 

Since announcing her pregnancy, fans have taken note of Scheana's mini-baby bump. 

"Girl I was sooo tiny just like you! I am sure you will get the neg comments about how you are too little. Don't listen!" one fan shared.

According to Scheana, she's faced negative comments due to not only her size, but also the way she's posed in photos.

"People are like, 'Don't put your hand there, you're not showing,' and I thought the same thing but I'm like, 'So where should I put my hand now?' Lol," Scheana wrote. "Hip doesn't feel right and I always hate a dead arm."

Following a slew of negative comments, Scheana admitted to considering the idea of taking some time away from social media as she enjoys the early moments of her pregnancy. However, as one person on social media noted, "it will only get worse once you have the baby."

"Girl I can’t even imagine. I think I may delete social media for a bit then lol," Scheana said.

"Vanderpump Rules" has not yet been renewed for a ninth season and at this point, it does not appear that the cast is back at work at SUR Restaurant.
