‘Flip or Flop’ star Christina Anstead has finally pulled the legal plug on her marriage to her second husband, Ant Anstead.
According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Christina filed for dissolution of marriage in an Orange County, CA court where she is asking a judge to officially sign off on the break-up of her and the English star.
Interestingly, Christina filed the legal documents in OC court last week and used the last name, El Moussa. As you know, Christina was married to her co-star on ‘Flip Or Flop’ — Tarek El Moussa — prior to her relationship with Anstead.
It appears the reality star may have never changed her name to Anstead.
See The Details…
As you know, she and her estranged husband announced that they had decided to split after only two years of marriage, and the ‘Flip Or Flop’ star said on IG, “Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate. We are grateful for each other and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future.”
The couples’ split came almost one year after they welcomed a son, Hudson London Anstead. It’s unclear at this point whether the ex-couple have decided on custody of their son and what sort of financial support will be implemented.
So Is It Amicable?
We are guessing the couple had a prenuptial agreement, considering they were both famous in their own right before entering into the marriage.
Plus, we broke the story, Ant signed off on any ownership of Christina’s new home in Newport Beach, CA signaling they were keeping their finance separate during the marriage.
The “Flip or Flop” star has two other children with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. Their daughter Taylor was born in 2010 and their son Brayden was born in 2015.
In a recent IG post, Christina went into detail about the tough time she has been having but that she also appreciated the support from her followers. “I never thought I would have one divorce let alone two. I never thought I would have 2 baby daddies – but sometimes life throws us curve balls. Instead of getting stuck in these ‘setbacks’ I choose to look at these challenges as opportunities to grow.”
The reality star made headlines earlier this year after the split by saying she ‘never wanted to be on TV’ but admitted she is grateful for the life it has provided.
Besides her hit TV show “Flip or Flop”, Christina is currently starring in her own HGTV show “Christina on the Coast”.
As for life after Anstead, Christina recently showed off the way she is dealing with her split from her second husband — by buying a yacht! The best part, she named it ‘Aftermath.’
“Even though this is a really difficult time for Christina, she’s doing her best to tune out all the noise and focus her energy on her children and her work,” El Moussa’s BFF recently told People. Adding, she’s been focused on “creating her own happiness and she remains positive while she surrounds herself with people who are uplifting her and letting her know she’s going to be okay.”
Ant Anstead has yet to respond to Christina’s divorce filing.
